Its telecommunications products and services include wireless and wireline voice and data; data services, such as Internet protocol; television; hosting, managed information technology, and cloud-based services; and healthcare and business process outsourcing solutions. The company also holds radio communication spectrum licenses for various mobile and fixed wireless services and applications; and offers wireless handsets. In addition, it operates a video-on-demand programming service, and a broadcasting license to operate a national terrestrial pay-per-view service. As of April 6, 2015, TELUS Corporation had approximately 13.7 million customer connections, including 8.1 million wireless subscribers, 3.2 million wireline network access lines, 1.5 million Internet subscribers, and 916,000 TELUS TV customers. The company was formerly known as TELUS Communications Inc. and changed its name to TELUS Corporation in February 2005. TELUS Corporation was founded in 1993 and is based in Vancouver, Canada.

TELUS to Invest $2.1 Billion Across Ontario Through 2018

TELUS announced that it intends to invest an additional $2.1 billion in new infrastructure and facilities across Ontario through 2018. When combined with operational expenses, this will bring the total TELUS investment in Ontario over the next four years to more than $11 billion.
