Trelleborg AB (publ) develops polymer solutions for seal, damp, and protect applications in industrial environments in Western Europe, North America, and internationally. The company offers rubber and polyurethane-coated substrates for general industry, automotive, transportation, and safety and health markets; and printing blanket solutions for offset printing, as well as operates a carrier sleeve production line for packaging flexo printing. It also provides fluid-handling solutions, including hoses, expansion joints, and elastomer materials; marine hoses for handling oil and gas; antivibration solutions, such as vibration dampers and precision components; pipe seals; sealing profiles for facades, windows, and doors; vibration-damping and acoustic solutions for rail and off-highway vehicles, and marine applications; and sealing systems for trains and trucks, as well as repairs wastewater and drinking water systems. In addition, the company offers polymer-based solutions for deep subsea exploration and extraction of oil and gas; sealing and vibration-damping civil engineering solutions for tunnels, bridges, and other structures; and berthing, docking, and mooring solutions for ports and vessels. Further, it provides O-rings, and rotary and hydraulic seals for various industrial applications; safety-critical aircraft seals for engines, flight control actuators, landing gear, and wheels and brakes; safety-critical seals for fuel systems, steering, air conditioning, and exhaust systems in light vehicles; and safety-critical precision seals for trains, engineering and agricultural equipment, and offshore oil and gas industry, as well as technology for damping and sealing. Additionally, the company offers tires and wheels for tractors and other vehicles in agriculture and forestry, as well as for other materials-handling vehicles, including forklift trucks. Trelleborg AB (publ) was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Trelleborg, Sweden.

Trelleborg AB Announces Executive Changes, Effective October 1, 2015

Paolo Astarita has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President Human Resources for the Trelleborg Group from October 1, 2015. He will also be a member of the Group Management. He succeeds Sören Andersson who will act as Senior Advisor Human Resources during the period October 1, 2015 to 31 December 2015 and then retire. Paolo Astarita has since 2001, held the position as Vice President Human Resources for the business area Trelleborg Wheel Systems and has in addition been in charge of Talent Management for the Group since 2011. His previous experience includes various positions in HR in Pirelli and Manuli Rubber. Sören Andersson has worked as Senior Vice President Human Resources for the Trelleborg Group since 1998.

Trelleborg AB announced consolidated and parent earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, net sales were SEK 6,531 million against SEK 5,726 million a year ago. Operating profit was SEK 997 million against SEK 732 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 956 million against SEK 699 million a year ago. Net profit in continuing operations was SEK 756 million or SEK 2.78 per share against SEK 530 million or SEK 1.95 per share a year ago. Total net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent company was SEK 755 million or SEK 2.78 per share against SEK 528 million or SEK 1.95 per share a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was SEK 715 million against SEK 567 million a year ago. Capital expenditure, property, plant and equipment were SEK 274 million against SEK 194 million a year ago. Capital expenditure in intangible assets was SEK 21 million against SEK 10 million a year ago. EBITDA, operating profit before depreciation was SEK 1,085 million against SEK 974 million a year ago. The total return on shareholders' equity for the Group was 14.8% against 12.7% a year ago. For the quarter, on parent basis, operating profit was SEK 146 million against SEK 152 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 446 million against SEK 86 million a year ago. Net profit was SEK 441 million against SEK 89 million a year ago. For the six months, on parent basis, operating profit was SEK 128 million against SEK 114 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 297 million against loss before tax of SEK 74 million a year ago. Net profit was SEK 324 million against net loss of SEK 26 million a year ago. The company provided financial guidance for the full year of 2015. The company announced the guidance of an underlying tax rate of 24% to 28% for the full year still stands. CapEx is in line with the company’s annual guidance of SEK 1.1 to SEK 1.2 billion.
