Tomra Systems ASA provides sensor-based solutions for optimal resource productivity worldwide. It operates through Collection Solutions and Sorting Solutions segments. The Collection Solutions segment develops, produces, sells, leases, and services automated recycling systems, including data administration systems, which monitor the volume of collected materials and associated deposit transactions. It is also involved in picking up, transporting, and processing empty beverage containers on behalf of beverage producers/fillers; and producing small and mid-sized compaction machines. This segment offers its solutions under the TOMRA brand name in the food retail industry in Europe and the United States. The Sorting Solutions segment provides sorting and processing technology for the fresh and processed food industries; sorting systems for waste and metal material streams; ore sorting systems for the mining industry; and sensor-based sorting and processing technology for the tobacco and raw materials industries. This segment offers its solutions under the brand names of TITECH, CommodasUltrasort, ODENBERG, and BEST. Tomra Systems ASA was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Asker, Norway.

Tomra Systems ASA reported non-GAAP consolidated and company earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, on consolidated basis, the company’s operating revenues were NOK 4,749 million against NOK 4,421 million a year ago. Operating profit was NOK 627.5 million against NOK 597.3 million a year ago. Result before taxes from continuing operations was NOK 603.4 million against NOK 557.4 million a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the parent was NOK 360.9 million compared to NOK 376.7 million a year ago. Earnings per share, diluted were NOK 2.44 compared to NOK 2.55 a year ago. Earnings per share from continuing operations, diluted were NOK 2.85 compared to NOK 2.59 a year ago. EBITA was NOK 737 million against NOK 701 million a year ago. Return on equity. ex. other items was 14.1% compared to 15.3% a year ago. Return on total assets. ex. other items was 10.6% compared to 11.4% a year ago. Net cash flow from operations was NOK 696 million against NOK 567 million a year ago. Investment in non-current assets was NOK 313.8 million compared to NOK 274.2 million a year ago. TOMRA Collection Solutions reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company’s operating revenues were NOK 817 million against NOK 701 million a year ago. After adjustment for currency changes, revenues were up 10%. EBITA was NOK 172 million against NOK 146 million a year ago. EBIT was NOK 164 million against NOK 138 million a year ago. For the year, the company’s operating revenues were NOK 2,823 million against NOK 2,637 million a year ago. Adjusted for currency changes, revenues were up 1%. EBITA was NOK 561 million against NOK 526 million a year ago. EBIT was NOK 527 million against NOK 493 million a year ago. Activity in Collection Solutions is assumed to be higher in 2015 than in 2014. However, due to timing of orders, first quarter 2015 is expected to be somewhat weaker than first quarter 2014 where as second half is expected to be stronger than prior year.
