Profit before income tax expense was AUD 78,280,000 compared to AUD 4,501,000 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was AUD 11,246,000 compared to net cash generated by operating activities of AUD 4,169,000 a year ago. Cash EBITDA was AUD 6.7 million compared to cash LBITDA of AUD 9 million a year ago, due mainly to the sale of 399ha of new plantations to a respected US institution and higher sandalwood product sales. Cash operating revenue was AUD 51.7 million compared to AUD 27.2 million a year ago. The significant increase in NPAT on the previous corresponding period a record result for a first half for TFS was driven by growth in the valuation of the group's plantation assets, favourable exchange rate movements and a significant increase in cash revenues, up from AUD 27.2 million in first half of 2014 to AUD 51.7 million in first half of 2015. Importantly, revenues were derived from diversified sources with sales of new plantations to institutional investors and sales of sandalwood products. The company revised earnings guidance for the year 2015. For the period, the company guidance for the net profit after tax increased to at least AUD 90 million and guidance for cash EBITDA reaffirmed of approximately AUD 56 million, up 10% on prior year. The upgrade to NPAT (from at least AUD 70 million) is largely a result of the higher valuation of company's sandalwood plantations following the increase to the oil price and the strengthening of the US dollar.
