Telenor ASA Proposes Dividend for 2014 Payable in June 2015 and in November 2015; Reports Audited Consolidated and Parent Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

Telenor ASA Board of Directors will propose a dividend of NOK 3.80 per share (NOK 5.7 billion) to be resolved by the general meeting in May 2015, and paid out in June 2015. In addition, the Board will ask the general meeting for an authority to resolve further dividends, pursuant to which the Board plans to resolve a dividend of NOK 3.50 per share (NOK 5.3 billion) to be paid in November 2015. In total this will bring the ordinary dividend for the fiscal year 2014 to NOK 7.30 per share (NOK 11.0 billion). The company reported audited consolidated and parent earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, on consolidated basis, the company's Revenues were NOK 106,540 million compared to NOK 99,138 million a year ago. The organic revenue growth of 3% was the result of strong performance in the Norwegian operation, improved growth in India and continued positive development in Bangladesh and Malaysia. The reported revenue growth was higher than the organic revenue growth, due to the depreciation of the Norwegian Krone towards most of the business units' reporting currencies, the inclusion of the acquired mobile business in Bulgaria and the internet and cable business in Sweden. Positive currency effects on revenues amounted to NOK 2.3 billion. Operating profit was NOK 25,034 million compared to NOK 21,092 million a year ago. Profit before taxes was NOK 19,473 million compared to NOK 17,599 million a year ago. Profit from continuing operations was NOK 12,859 million compared to NOK 11,930 million a year ago. Net income was NOK 12,759 million compared to NOK 12,123 million a year ago. Net income attributable to equity holders of company was NOK 9,077 million compared to NOK 8,748 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was NOK 6.10 compared to NOK 5.61 million a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was NOK 6.03 compared to NOK 5.74 million a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activities was NOK 33,851 million compared to NOK 36,990 million a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets was NOK 20,693 million compared to NOK 15,612 million a year ago. EBITDA before other income and expenses increased by NOK 2.9 billion to NOK 37.7 billion, while the corresponding EBITDA margin of 35.4% improved slightly from 2013 driven by positive contribution from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan in addition to the full-year effect of the inclusion of the Bulgarian operation. EBITDA was NOK 39,823 million compared to NOK 34,208 million a year ago. For the period, on parent basis, the company’s revenues were NOK 512 million compared to NOK 505 million a year ago. Operating loss was NOK 1,064 million compared to NOK 1,216 million a year ago. Profit before taxes was NOK 11,299 million compared to NOK 21,768 million a year ago. Net income was NOK 11,405 million compared to NOK 21,312 million a year ago. Net cash flow from operating activities was NOK 15,270 million compared to NOK 24,822 million a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets was NOK 18 million compared to NOK 36 million a year ago.
