The company’s mobile communication services include voice, data, Internet, and content services, as well as customer equipment and messaging. Its fixed line services comprise fixed telephony services, which include traffic, subscriptions, and connections for PSTN/ISDN and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP); Internet and TV services comprising subscriptions for xDSL, fiber, Internet traffic, and TV services; and leased lines and leased network, as well as data services and managed services. Telenor Launches 4G Network in Serbia

Telenor has activated its 4G network in Serbia. Postpaid customers will be the first to use the 4G network as part of their tariff packages. The 4G network initially covers areas of Belgrade, Subotica city centre, Kopaonik and Zlatibor. Telenor plans to expand soon to areas of Nis and Novi Sad and more of Belgrade. The roll-out of 4G will be delivered in phases, first in urban and, later in rural areas, depending on customer needs.

Telenor ASA Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

Telenor ASA reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. Revenues were NOK 106,540 million against NOK 99,138 million last year. Operating profit was NOK 25,034 million against NOK 21,092 million last year. Net financial expenses were NOK 1,704 million against NOK 1,907 million last year. Profit before taxes was NOK 19,473 million against NOK 17,599 million last year. Profit from continuing operations was NOK 12,859 million or NOK 6.10 per basic and diluted share against NOK 11,930 million or NOK 5.62 per basic share and NOK 5.61 per diluted share last year. Net income attributable to equity holders of Telenor ASA was NOK 9,077 million or NOK 6.03 per basic and diluted share against NOK 8,748 million or NOK 5.74 per basic and diluted share last year. Net cash flow from operating activities was NOK 33,851 million against NOK 36,990 million last year. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets were NOK 20,693 million against NOK 15,612 million last year. The financial statements are adjusted compared to the preliminary and unaudited 2014 results reported by the company earlier. The adjustment relates to Telenor Group's share of significant transactions and events of NOK 1,269 million in VimpelCom Ltd. Telenor has adjusted for its share of impairment losses (NOK 2,006 million) related to Kyivstar in Ukraine, Pakistan and Laos, partially offset by recognition of unrealized gain (NOK 737 million) on Telenor's contribution of Kyivstar to VimpelCom Ltd. in 2010. In addition, the translation differences in other comprehensive income are impacted by the recognized impairment of NOK 228 million. Total adjustment on equity amounts to NOK 1,497 million.

Telenor Wins PKR 1.9 Billion Universal Service Fund Deal

Telenor has won a contract worth PKR 1.9 billion from Pakistan's Universal Service Fund (USF) to provide basic telephony and data services in unconnected areas of Chitral, Upper Dir and Lower Dir districts. The rural telecom project in Chitral lot is expected to benefit around 1.2 million people living in 1,173 muzas.
