Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS establishes and operates a Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) network in Turkey and regional states. It operates in four segments: Turkcell, Euroasia, Belarusian Telecom, and Superonline. The company offers mobile voice and broadband services; and other mobile services comprising call and balance management services and messaging options, and government-related applications. Its mobile services also include Real-time Enterprise to transform traditional enterprise processes into mobile-centric and real-time business processes; Turkcell Smart Enablers, a network of mobile-based and technological services; Turkcell Smart Map for companies to target specific customers; Ekip Mobil to monitor and manage sales forces and fleets; Mobile Signature for mobile subscribers to sign electronic documents and transactions; Machine to Machine platform for managing devices; and mobile marketing services. The company also provides mobile payment services; digital media services for subscribers to watch live television channels and on-demand video content on their mobile phones; and international roaming services. In addition, it offers BiP, an instant messaging app; Turkcell Muzik for its users to access songs from mobile phones, tablets, or computers; Turkcell Akilli Depo to store photos, documents, and videos; Mother & Child, a mobile application for parents and children; Turkcell Academy that provides courses on the basics of sciences and finance; and Turkcell Smart Health Solution that enables patients with chronic diseases to record and send their test results to healthcare providers. Further, the company is involved in betting; information technology; research and development; radio and television broadcasting; financing and property investment; and customer relations management activities. Additionally, it offers Internet and broadband, and call center services. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey.

Turkcell Approves Dividends Proposal for the Fiscal Years 2010 to 2014

The General Assembly Meeting in Turkcell adopted resolutions to distribute dividends for the fiscal years 2010 to 2014 in line with the proposal from Turkcell Holding. In total, Turkcell will pay dividends of TRY 3,925 million of which TeliaSonera's share will be TRY 1,492 million. Based on a TRY/SEK 3.30 exchange rate, TeliaSonera's share corresponds to approximately SEK 4.9 billion pre-tax and estimated to SEK 4.5 billion post tax.
