The company also provides non-life insurance products primarily comprising property and casualty, liability, motor, accident, health, and payment protection insurances in France and Luxembourg. Swiss Life Holding AG distributes its products through its brokers, tied agents, own sales force, independent financial advisors, and private banks. In addition, the company offers asset management services; banking services; and legal, financial, tax, mortgage, and investment advice services, as well as mortgage products and occupational benefits insurance products. Swiss Life Holding AG was founded in 1857 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Swiss Life Holding AG Announces Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2014

The Swiss Life Group announced earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported that net profit attributable to equity holders of the company was CHF 814 million, or CHF 24.11 per diluted share, compared to CHF 781 million, or CHF 24.22 per diluted share, for the year ended December 31, 2013. Net earned premiums were CHF 13.78 billion, compared to CHF 12.94 billion for the year ended December 31, 2013. Total income was CHF 20.47 billion, compared to CHF 19.46 billion for the year ended December 31, 2013. Profit from operations was CHF 1.17 billion, compared to CHF 1.15 billion for the year ended December 31, 2013.

Swiss Life Reports Earnings Results for the Year of 2014

Swiss Life reported earnings results for the year of 2014. For the period, the company reported adjusted profit from operations of CHF 1,182 million, up 4% on the previous year. The increase in profits was driven by France, Swiss Life Asset Managers and International. Net profit rose from CHF 784 million to CHF 818 million, an increase of 4%. The profit increase was achieved despite further strengthening of the insurance reserves by CHF 1.2 billion. Swiss Life Asset Managers generated direct investment income of CHF 4.5 billion in 2014 a rise of 4% on the previous year. The net investment result improved by almost CHF 200 million to CHF 5.1 billion, producing a net investment return of 3.8% against 3.9% for 2013. The company confirmed its high earnings power of the previous year with a contribution of CHF 657 million (-8%). Adjusted return on equity was 9.6%. Profit from operations was up 2% to CHF 1.169 billion, driven particularly by the improved risks in fee results. Overall, net profit was up by 4% to CHF 880 million, excluding major one-offs in both years increase was 7%.

Swiss Life Proposes Dividend for the Year 2014

Swiss Life announced it will propose a dividend hike of 18% CHF 6.50 per share for the year 2014.
