SinterCast AB provides process control technology and solutions for the production of compacted graphite iron (CGI) to cast iron foundry and automotive industries worldwide. It offers fully automated System 3000, which comprises a series of individual hardware modules that could be configured to suit the layout, process flow, and production volume of a foundry for ladle production and pouring furnaces; and provides hardware and software platform that allows the foundry to independently control CGI series production and product development. The company also provides Mini-System 3000, a purpose-built thermal analysis system for product development, prototyping, and niche volume production. In addition, it offers sampling consumables that consist of Sampling Cup and the Thermocouple Pair products; and engineering services for product development, trials, new installations and calibrations, metallurgical consultancy, and ongoing customer service. SinterCast AB was founded in 1983 and is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

SinterCast AB announced earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of SEK 15.8 million against SEK 10.9 million a year ago. Operating result was SEK 2.9 million against SEK 0.7 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SEK 0.5 against SEK 0.3 a year ago. Cashflow from operations was SEK 4.8 million against SEK 3.0 million a year ago. Result after tax was SEK 3.5 million against SEK 1.9 million a year ago. For the six months, the company reported revenue of SEK 34.6 million against SEK 25.5 million a year ago. Operating result was SEK 8.8 million against SEK 3.6 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SEK 1.3 against SEK 0.7 a year ago. Cashflow from operations was SEK 9.3 million against SEK 0.9 million a year ago. Result after tax was SEK 9.3 million against SEK 5.1 million a year ago.

Teksid Orders Second SinterCast Installation

Teksid has ordered a second process control system for product development of Compacted Graphite Iron. Under the terms of the agreement, SinterCast will install a Mini-System 3000 process control system at the Teksid Funfrap foundry in Aveiro, Portugal. The installation is planned to be commissioned during the third quarter and will be used to support ongoing product development of passenger vehicle cylinder blocks and other engine components. In anticipation of future series production, Teksid will construct the CGI infrastructure and develop the process flow to be compatible with a planned upgrade to a fully automated System 3000 Plus installation.

ASIMCO International Casting Co., Ltd. Adopts SinterCast Process Control Technology

ASIMCO International Casting Co. Ltd. has entered into a technology supply agreement with SinterCast for Compacted Graphite Iron (CGI) product development and series production. Under the terms of the agreement, SinterCast will install a System 3000 Plus process control system at the ASIMCO foundry located in Shanxi, China and provide engineering support for the establishment of a robust CGI series production process. With planned commissioning during 2015, the System 3000 Plus will control the CGI process including the patented SinterCast thermal analysis, automatic feedback control of the base treatment process by cored wire, and feedforward optimisation of magnesium and inoculant prior to casting.
