sokoman iron corp (SIC) Key Developments

Sokoman Iron Corp. Receives Strongly Anomalous Soil Geochemical Results from its 100% Owned Startrek Project

Sokoman Iron Corp. reported that it has received strongly anomalous soil geochemical results from its 100% owned Startrek Project, 20 kilometers southeast of Gander in north central Newfoundland. The results include antimony (Sb) values ranging from below detection (5 ppm) to a maximum of 4,500 ppm Sb (0.45% Sb). A total of 34 samples (out of 110 total samples) returned values in excess of 100 ppm Sb with five samples registering values above the detection limit of 440 ppm Sb. Subsequent re-assaying of the above limit samples returned values ranging from 0.04% Sb to 0.45% Sb. Along with Sb, the survey also outlined a coincidental gold in soil anomaly with gold (Au) values ranging from less than detection (5 ppb) to a maximum of 181 ppb Au. A total of 35 samples returned greater than 5 ppb Au with nine samples returning values greater than 20 ppb to a maximum of 181 ppb Au. The anomalous Au values correspond closely with moderate to strong Sb values. The coincident Sb and Au anomaly is currently 500 meters in length and up to 100 meters in width and open to the north and south. The grid was centered on a zone of Sb bearing sub-crop located by the property vendors in 2013 that retuned Sb values up to 1.83% Sb. The current survey consisted of the collection of B horizon soil samples on flagged lines spaced 100 meters apart, with a sample spacing of 25 meters. A total of 110 soil samples were collected and sent to Eastern Analytical Labs in Springdale, NL for a 34 element ICP scan and gold (fire assay) analysis. The soil sampling was carried out in late 2014 in conjunction with a ground magnetometer survey over a selected portion of the Startrek Project where exploration carried out by Noranda in the late 1980's defined a 2 kilometer long Sb in soil anomaly on lines spaced 400 meters apart.
