This segment also manufactures a range of high value components for industrial markets, including grains and powders, fine ceramics, photonics, scintillation and quartz products and refractories used in the steel market or glass furnaces; abrasives, such as bonded abrasives, coated abrasives, and diamond products; glass fiber mesh for exterior wall insulation, wall coverings, joint tapes, and glass mats for thermal insulation; and asphalt concrete overlays, as well as insect screen and paving reinforcement grids. Its Construction Products Sector segment provides ductile cast iron pipe systems, municipal castings, hydraulic valves, and wastewater and rainwater collection and drainage systems for buildings under the PAM brand; thermal and acoustic insulation products and solutions; solutions for creating partition walls, wall linings, and ceiling systems; mortar-based construction solutions under the Weber brand; exterior products; and dry construction systems. The company’s Building Distribution Sector segment distributes building materials to the new-building, renovation, and home improvement markets. Its Packaging Sector segment designs and produces bottles and jars primarily for the wine and spirits, and food markets under the Verallia brand. The company was founded in 1665 and is headquartered in Courbevoie, France.
