Telesign Enters Partnership with Swisscom

TeleSign entered into a partnership with Swisscom whose aim is the development and delivery of new identity services to enable greater online account security, verification of financial and e-commerce transactions, and prevention of fraud for customers. This partnership will leverage Swisscom's identity insights and feed into TeleSign's verification APIs and the data and analytics behind phone numbers around the world. This new partnership allows both companies to better serve customers with new services which will become available in 2016.

Swisscom AG Announces Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

Swisscom AG announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net revenue, without exceptional, is CHF 2.9 billion, unchanged compared to previous year. The EBITDA in third quarter on a comparable base, is also went also up by CHF 32 million. The bundled revenues increased by CHF 440 million from CHF 440 million in first quarter to CHF 570 million in third quarter. EBITDA was CHF 145 million. This is an increase of CHF 11 million. The free cash is positive with CHF 21 million. For the nine months, revenue on a comparable base are CHF 8.7 billion, which means which is this improvement I mentioned before of CHF 103 million. EBITDA without exceptional the exception the overall exceptions are CHF 345 million, increased by CHF 72 million on an absolute amount of CHF 3.444 million. EBITDA went up by 9.5% and is, on an absolute level, CHF 405 million. Operating income of CHF 1,554 million compared with CHF 1,839 million for the same period a year ago. Net income was CHF 1,058 million compared with CHF 1,349 million for the same period a year ago. Capital expenditure was CHF 1,737 million compared with CHF 1,727 million for the same period a year ago. For the year, the company expects that lower the EBITDA expectations due to the provision for the BBCS case. Net revenue will be above CHF 11.5 billion. EBITDA after the provision will be above CHF 4 billion, and CapEx expect to land at slightly over CHF 2.3 billion.

Swisscom AG Wins Multi-Year Contract to Deploy New Mobile Network for CERN

Swisscom AG has won a multi-year contract to deploy a new mobile network for the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN. Over the next years, Swisscom will be handling mobile voice and data transmission for CERN in Geneva. The network is used by roughly 6,000 CERN employees and guest researchers. Within a period of six months, Swisscom has set up a network using 14 outdoor antennae and 46 indoor locations. It provides mobile telephony services for the CERN site both on the surface and in the underground infrastructure. The more than 50 kilometres of tunnels and caverns is also host to the world's large and most powerful particle physics accelerator, namely the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), with a circumference of 27 kilometres. Swisscom and CERN share a long history of cooperation.
