It also provides toilet tissue, kitchen rolls, handkerchiefs, and paper napkins under the Edet, Famiia, Plenty, Regio, Tempo, Velvet, Zewa, and Lotus brands, as well as Cosy, Cushelle, Danke, Deeko, Favorita, Feh, Flen, Lady, Lovly, Magiklin, Nevax Opción Verde, Orchid, Top, Vinda, Viti, Okay, Demak-up, Colhogar, and Delica brands. In addition, the company offers hand towels, toilet papers, skin care products, air refresheners, facial tissue, bins, wipers, wet wipes, kitchen rolls, napkins, and other hygiene products for washrooms, wash stations, healthcare areas, food and beverage handling, food preparation, and manufacturing and maintenance under the Tork brand name. Further, it sells forest products, such as publication papers, such as magazine paper, uncoated offset, and light weight coated paper; pulp for tissue and publication papers; solid-wood products for house building, home furnishings, and furniture industries; forest-based biofuels, such as fuel wood, logging residues, pellets, and briquettes, as well as peat for power and heat; packaging papers; colored tissue reels; and containerboards, as well as provides marine and land transport services. The company was founded in 1929 and is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

SCA Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter of 2015

SCA reported earnings results for the second quarter of 2015. The company reported net sales rose 14% (5% excluding exchange rate effects) to SEK 57,177 million against SEK 50,063 million a year ago. Operating profit, excluding items affecting comparability, rose 9% to SEK 6,089 million against SEK 5,564 million a year ago. Profit before tax, excluding items affecting comparability, rose 11% to SEK 5,626 million against SEK 5,081 million a year ago. Earnings per share were SEK 5.23 against SEK 4.66 a year ago. Cash flow from current operations was SEK 3,366 million against SEK 2,078 million a year ago. The increase in operating profit is mainly attributable to a better price/mix, higher volumes and cost savings.

SCA to Invest SEK 650 Million in a New Production Facility in Brazil

SCA announced that it is set to invest approximately SEK 650 million in a new production facility in Brazil for the manufacture of incontinence products. Production is scheduled to commence in 2016. The new production facility in Jarinu, Brazil, will replace the smaller existing plant.
