Saab Signs SEK 4 Billion Multicurrency Revolving Credit Facility

Saab announced that it has signed a multi-currency revolving credit facility of SEK 4 billion with an initial term of five years and with a possibility to extend the term with one plus one year. This is done in order to refinance the existing facility with maturity 2016 and to be used for general corporate purposes. The facility continues to strengthen Saab's financial flexibility. The facility has been arranged by the following banks which each has a commitment of MSEK 500: Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, BNP Paribas, Citibank N.A, Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Danske Bank A/S, Nordea Bank AB, Swedbank AB and the Royal Bank of Scotland Plc.

Saab Receives Order from Swedish Defence Materiel Administration

Saab AB has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, or FMV, to provide maintenance, operational support and continuing development work for Gripen during 2015. The order is valued at SEK 355 million. The order includes the operation of rigs, simulators and test aircraft for the verification and validation of the Gripen C/D and Gripen E fighter aircraft systems, plus operational support for Gripen C/D. The contract was included in the option of SEK 710 million for 2015 and 2016 that was announced on 20 December 2013.

Saab Receives Order from FMV to Extend Gripen Lease in Czech Republic

Saab AB has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, or FMV, for the extended lease of Gripen from Sweden to the Czech Republic. This agreement provides for the continuing support and upgrade of the Czech aircraft for a further 12 years. The order is valued at approx. SEK 576 million. Gripen has been in service with the Czech Republic since 2005. In May 2014 a new agreement between Sweden and the Czech Republic extended this partnership for a further 12 years. The new agreement includes hardware modification of the aircraft and upgrade of system functionality that will deliver a continuing increase in capabilities for the customer. Also included are several years of support for the Czech aircraft by FMV. Work to develop and adapt new mission software for Czech requirements begins immediately. Aircraft modifications will be implemented in about one year's time.
