Radware Integrates Application Delivery and Security Services into Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure

Radware announced the integration of its Alteon® and DefensePro® platforms into Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) fabric. Integrating Radware's platform to Cisco's ACI fabric will enable large enterprises, hosting service providers and ISPs automated tenant-based application delivery and security services. The automated service insertion is controlled by Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) that offers a single control point to provision, automate and monitor applications in the Data Center. Cisco's ACI is a holistic architecture with centralized automation and policy-driven application profiles. ACI delivers software flexibility with the scalability of hardware performance in the data center and is designed as an open architecture. Application policies can be optimized to best address the changing SLA requirements of applications as ACI utilizes Radware application delivery and security services anywhere throughout the network.

Radware Launches Newest Application Delivery Controller Platform - Alteon NG 5208

Radware announced it has launched its newest high performance Application Delivery Controller (ADC), the Alteon® NG [2] 5208. Unlike a standard, legacy load balancer that's based on a best-effort approach, Radware's Alteon 5208 can provide full application SLA assurance by offering up to 24 dedicated virtual ADC instances (vADC) per app/service, complete isolation between instances which will not impact neighboring application performance, and FastView®, best-in-class application acceleration features and an innovative security offering The Alteon 5208 also provides real-time tracking of application service levels and can measure real user transactions including errors and end-to-end response time with application performance monitoring (APM) integrated module. This capability permits the quick detection of performance problems across the network and the data center to pinpoint SLA issues. The Alteon 5208 also enables ADC consolidation through its ADC-VX¢ virtualization hypervisor which provides the vADC density in the industry, allowing organizations to adopt a deployment model of vADC per application for greater operational simplicity and business agility.
