Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. provides asset-light transportation and logistics services. The company operates through three segments: Truckload Logistics (TL), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and Transportation Management Solutions (TMS). The TL segment arranges pickup, delivery, freight consolidation, and inventory management of TL freight through its network of 47 TL service centers, 5 freight consolidation and inventory management centers, 26 company dispatch offices, and approximately 130 independent brokerage agents in the United States and Canada. It also offers temperature-controlled, dry van, intermodal drayage, and flatbed services; and specializes in the transport of refrigerated foods, poultry, and beverages, as well as on-demand expedited services. The LTL segment is involved in the pickup, consolidation, linehaul, deconsolidation, and delivery of LTL shipments in the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada through a network of 44 LTL service centers and approximately 180 third-party delivery agents. The TMS segment offers domestic and international transportation and logistics solutions, including pricing, contract management, transportation mode and carrier selection, freight tracking, freight bill payment and audit, cost reporting and analysis, and dispatch. This segment also provides domestic and international air and ocean transportation, and customs brokerage services. Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. is headquartered in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. announced the hiring of William Goodgion as president of the company’s Transportation Management Solutions (TMS) segment. Goodgion will be responsible for overseeing the entire TMS segment, which is comprised of leading Roadrunner companies including Group Transportation Services, Marisol International, and Unitrans International. A seasoned transportation industry executive with over 25 years of experience in operations management and strategic development in global freight forwarding, Goodgion joins Roadrunner from FedEx Trade Networks Transport & Brokerage, Inc., where he was most recently Managing Director of Operations for the Central Region. Kevin Charlebois, former president of Roadrunner’s TMS segment, has accepted a CEO position with another HCI company and leaves Roadrunner on the best of terms.

Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Second Quarter of 2015 and Financial Guidance for the Full Year of 2015

Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $488,970,000 compared to $382,031,000 a year ago. Operating income was $26,802,000 compared to $19,239,000 a year ago. Income before provision for income taxes was $22,193,000 compared to $16,989,000 a year ago. Net income available to common stockholders was $13,604,000 or $0.35 per diluted share compared to $10,414,000 or $0.27 per diluted share a year ago. EBITDA was $33,679,000 compared to $23,982,000 a year ago. The revenue growth was a combination of both organic and acquisition-related growth, offset partially by weather and a decrease in fuel surcharge revenue. Cash flow from operations for the quarter, for first quarter, was a record $12.3 million. CapEx in the first quarter was $15 million. The company anticipate revenues for the second quarter of 2015 to be in the range of $520 million to $545 million, representing an increase of 13% to 18% from the second quarter of 2014. The company expects diluted earnings per share available to common stockholders to be between $0.43 and $0.46, compared with diluted earnings per share available to common stockholders of $0.38 in the prior year quarter. The company expect to spend on CapEx for 2015 will be above $36 million. So as the year progresses, the company would expect the cash flow from operations to significantly be above the CapEx that the company is incurring going forward for the year.
