Renault to Launch Duster Facelift in Brazil on March 31, 2015

Renault SA is launching its Duster facelift in Brazil on March 31. The model features a new instrument panel, 'Duster' printed on the roof rails, a front bumper with a larger skid plate, redesigned headlights and the new twin-slat grille and integrated LED daytime running lights like the international model. The vehicle is available with a choice of 1.6-litre petrol engine and 2.0-litre petrol engine.

Renault Announces Executive Changes, Effective April 1, 2015

As of April 1, 2015, Olivier Murguet is appointed Senior Vice President, Chairman of Americas Region, in replacement of Denis Barbier. Olivier Murguet becomes a member of Renault Management Committee and reports to Jerme Stoll, Chief Competitive Officer & Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing. As of April 1, 2015, Denis Barbier is appointed Senior Vice President, Deputy to Executive Vice President, Quality & Total Customer Satisfaction. He is member of the Renault Management Committee and reports to Christian Vandenhende, EVP, Quality & Total Customer Satisfaction. Olivier Murguet joined Renault in 1990 at Renault Portuguesa Control Division and held afterwards several management positions in Market Area France. In 1996, he was named Sales Director of Renault do Brasil, and in 2001 he became Sales Director of Market Area France. Denis Barbier joined Renault in 1984 at the Bodywork Methods Department and went on, from 1989 to 1995, to hold several plant positions at the Flins and Douai sites in France. In 1998, he joined the Russia project in Moscow as Industrial Director of Avtoframos.

Renault has announced a USD 100 million investment in its plant in Cordoba, Argentina. Renault has announced new investment in its plant in Cordoba, Argentina. The company will invest USD 100 million to introduce a new vehicle platform and to build the Logan, Sandero, and Sandero Stepway at the facility. The addition of the new platform guarantees continuing production of Renault vehicles in Argentina, and allows for the addition of new models in the medium and long term. The company announced that the investment amount will be deployed over a period of 20 months, and in five key areas: development of its local supplier network; conversion and modernization of equipment; research and development; staff training; and modernization of the paint shop. Production of the three new models is scheduled to begin in mid-2016, with sales due to begin in the fourth quarter of 2016.
