Renault Group Reports Sales Results for the Month of January 2015

Renault Group reported sales results for the month of January 2015. The company announced demand this month fell by 2.7% year on year to 187,766 units. This was made up of 164,119 passenger cars, a fall of 2.9% year on year, while light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were down by 1.1% year on year to 23,647 units.

Renault SA Reports EU Sales Results for the Month of January 2015

Renault SA registered 95,315 new cars in the EU in January 2015, marking a 10% yearly increase and outperforming the EU market where sales went up by an annual 6.7%. The considerable rise in sales was driven by an 11.3% growth registered by the group's same-name brand which sold 63,035 new passenger cars in the region and widened its market share to 6.5% from 6.2%.

Renault SA Plans to Launch Pickup Truck Based on New Nissan Navara

Renault SA is planning to launch a pickup truck based on the new Nissan Navara. The company has not revealed the name of the vehicle, but it will be launched at a major auto show either later this year or in early 2016. It is to arrive in the European and various other global markets, including Latin America, shortly after. The model features a brand-specific front fascia with sharp headlights and an oversized Renault emblem. It will be available with a choice of rear- and four-wheel drive, while six-speed manual transmission will come as standard, and a seven-speed automatic unit will be available at an extra cost.
