Renault Société Anonym Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the First-Half Ended June 30, 2015; Confirms Earnings Guidance for the Full Year 2015

Renault reported consolidated earnings results for the first-half ended June 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net income of EUR 1,396 million compared to EUR 749 million a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 1,069 million compared with EUR 729 million a year ago. Revenue was EUR 22,197 million compared with EUR 19,820 million a year ago. Operating income was EUR 953 million compared with EUR 464 million a year ago. Automotive negative operational free cash flow was EUR 95 million compared with EUR 360 million a year ago. The euro's drop against a basket of currencies (Korean won, British pound, etc.) had positive impact. The price effect was also positive, primarily due to higher prices decided in late 2014 in merging markets in order to offset currency depreciations (particularly in Russia and Brazil). Cash flow from operations totaled EUR 1,727,000,000, flat compared to last year. Net tangible and intangible investments came to EUR 1,453,000,000 in the first half, up EUR 212 million over last year's level. Net income, group share was EUR 1,396 million compared with EUR 749 million a year ago. In light of these first half results, the company is confirming its overall guidance for the full year 2015. Global car demand should continue to grow about 1% in 2015 despite a significant slowdown in emerging markets. On the other hand, the European market should grow by at least 5%. Within this context, the Renault group aims to: increase further its registrations and revenues (at constant exchange rates), continue to improve the Group's operating margin and that of the Automotive division, generate a positive Automotive operational free cash flow.
