Rainmaker Resources Ltd. announced that Judy McCall has resigned as Corporate Secretary, and has been replaced in the interim by Alan Young.

Rainmaker Resources Ltd. Announces Results of Lab Testing from its 20-Hole Sonic Drill Program on Bray Property, Izard County, N-C Arkansas

Rainmaker Resources Ltd. announced results of lab testing from its 20-hole sonic drill program on the Bray Property, Izard County, N-C Arkansas. From the test work, all samples met or exceeded the standards for roundness, sphericity, acid solubility and crush resistance. All of the drill holes were collared in sandstone. The maximum depth of the sandstone encountered was 151 ft, with an average over the whole property of approximately 50 ft (using a 20-foort minimum). A total of 24 samples were shipped to Stim-Labs to be tested for suitability for use as a proppant in hydraulic fracturing operations. The samples were dried, weighed and washed through a 200 mesh screen. The two composites were then tested for sphericity, roundness, acid solubility, bulk density, apparent density and crush resistance (K-value).

Rainmaker Resources Ltd. Reports Positive Results from Initial Phase Testing at Jayjay, Sask

Rainmaker Resources Ltd. announced that it has received analytical results from the initial phase of field testing on the Jayjay and Jayjay East frac sand projects in North Central Saskatchewan. A total of five composite samples were collected and submitted to Saskatchewan Research Council in Saskatoon, SK for sieve analysis, and then to Stim-Labs in Duncan OK for standard ISO/API testing. The samples were collected from surface outcrops. Results show that the sands generally meet industry requirements for use as proppant sand. Given the encouraging nature of the results, the company now plans to commence developing a more extensive field-testing program, using mechanized equipment to fully test the size and extent of the deposits. This will require permitting from Saskatchewan Ministry of the Environment. It is anticipated that this work program will take place early summer of 2015. The two silica sand projects are located in north-central Saskatchewan, approximately 185 km north-east of Prince Albert SK, and 150 km west of Flin Flon MB. Access is excellent with an all-season Province Road crossing the centre of the property. The Jayjay property consists of one Quarry Permit and the Jayjay East three Quarry Permits, issued by the Government of Saskatchewan. The sand deposit lies at surface and consists entirely of beach sand from the shores of glacial Lake Agassiz. This lake covered much of the central Prairies until approximately 10,000 years before present. Wave action on the beaches has resulted in clean, well-rounded sand grains, which may be suitable for hydraulic fracturing. The sand is derived from a marine quartzose sandstone horizon in the Cretaceous Manville formation.
