Realia Business, S.A. Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Nine Months Ended Sep. 30, 2014

Realia Business, S.A. reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended Sep. 30, 2014. For the quarter, total revenue was EUR 89.7 million against EUR 77.4 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 22 million against EUR 31.2 million a year ago. EBITDA has decreased by 29.5%, mainly because of the margin drop in rental business and land bank sales. EBIT was EUR 22.1 million against EUR 3.3 million a year ago. Loss before taxes was EUR 11.4 million against EUR 24.2 million a year ago. Loss after taxes was EUR 21.2 million against EUR 323.4 million a year ago. Net result (group share) was EUR 14.7 million against EUR 17.2 million a year ago. Net financial debt was EUR 1.075 million against EUR 1.709 million year ago.

Colonial Made An Offer To Acquire Stake In Realia Patrimonio

Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (CATS:COL) has made an offer to acquire Realia Patrimonio, S.L.U. from Realia Business, S.A. (CATS:RLIA) for €650 million. Bankia, S.A. (CATS:BKIA) and FCC Energia, SA have put their joint stake of nearly 60% in Realia up for sale in 2013. Colonial said its offer was non-binding and conditional on Realia offloading non-strategic assets before the sale. The deadline set by FCC and Bankia for the sale of their Realia stake had been extended to July 31, 2014, a source familiar with the matter said. Reuters reported that FCC declined to comment and Bankia was not immediately able to comment. Shares of Realia were up by 5.8 percent and Colonial by 1.6 percent.
