As of April 30, 2015, it operated 7,334 screens in 570 theatres in 42 states along with Guam, Saipan, American Samoa, and the District of Columbia. Regal Entertainment Group was founded in 2002 and is based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Regal Entertainment Group reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the first quarter, total revenues were $691.3 million compared to total revenues of $726.9 million for the first quarter ended March 27, 2014. Net income attributable to controlling interest was $23.1 million compared to net loss attributable to controlling interest of $1.2 million, which included a $32.6 million after-tax loss on extinguishment of debt, in the first quarter of 2014. Diluted loss per share was $0.15 compared to diluted loss of $0.01 for the first quarter of 2014. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $0.15 compared to $0.20 for the first quarter of 2014. Adjusted EBITDA was $128.1 million and $144.2 million for the first quarter of 2014. Income from operations was $50.4 million compared to $70.3 million last year. Income before income taxes was $38.3 million compared to $0.6 million last year. EBITDA was $122.6 million compared to $86.4 million last year. Net cash provided by operating activities was $101.9 million compared to $128.0 million last year. Capital expenditures were $29.7 compared to $29.1 million last year. Based on development schedule and outlook for the remainder of the year 2015, the company still expects full year capital expenditures to be between $135 million and $145 million. The company expects interest expense to be approximately $33 million per quarter for the remainder of the year. The company expects to open 2 new build theaters with 24 screens and close 6 to 10 theaters with 50 to 80 screens, which would result in ending counts of approximately 568 theaters and 7,326 screens for 2015.
