Orex Minerals Inc. and Fresnillo Plc Restarts Diamond Drilling on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico

Orex Minerals Inc. in conjunction with their project partner Fresnillo PLC, have commenced drilling on a Phase-IV exploration diamond drilling program of approximately 4,500 metres on the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. The contract has been awarded to Kluane Drilling Ltd. They utilize modularized mobile drilling equipment, in order to keep to a minimum the social and environmental impact. The first three phases of drilling, totaling 28,700 metres in 82 holes, targeted multiple mineralized structures throughout the Coneto Mining District. This fourth phase is intended to test down dip and along strike from gold-silver intercepts on the La Bufa, Santo Niño, Loma Verde, Impulsora, Durazno and Promontorio structures in about 100 metre step-outs. The Santo Niño, La Bufa, Loma Verde, Durazno and Impulsora are steeply dipping, sub parallel epithermal quartz veins. Promontorio is a quartz-hematite stockwork zone, with veining. These structures are hosted in Tertiary andesites of the Lower Volcanic Sequence, exposed in a window below the Upper Volcanic Sequence rhyolites. Veins are in a northwest oriented corridor extending for over 17 kilometres.

Orex Minerals Inc. and Fresnillo PLC Schedule a Phase-IV Exploration Diamond Drilling Program for the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico

Orex Minerals Inc. and their project partner Fresnillo PLC are scheduling a Phase-IV exploration diamond drilling program of approximately 4,500 metres for the Coneto Gold-Silver Project in Durango, Mexico. Drilling is expected to re-commence in April 2015. The historic Coneto Mining District is situated in the heart of the "Mexican Silver Trend", on the Mesa Central, stretching from Guanajuato in the southeast, through to the states of Zacatecas and Durango. This prolific trend hosts some of the world's large silver camps and deposits, including Fresnillo, Guanajuato, La Pitarrilla, La Preciosa, Real de Angeles, and Zacatecas. Orex and Fresnillo hold extensive contiguous mineral concessions in the Coneto Mining District, which collectively total approximately 17,600 hectares and cover multiple mineralized epithermal quartz veins.

Orex and Agnico Eagle Sign A Letter of Intent for A Joint Venture on Orex's Barsele Project

Orex Minerals Inc. announced that it has entered into a letter of intent with Agnico Eagle Mines Limited with respect to the development of Orex's Barsele Gold Project, located in Sweden. Pursuant to the terms of the LOI, AEM will acquire an initial 55% interest in the Project on payment to Orex of $10 million ($6 million on closing of the transaction and $2 million on each of the first and second anniversaries of closing of the transaction). As part of the transaction, AEM will commit to spend $7 million on exploration over three years. AEM can earn an additional 15% interest by completing a pre-feasibility study on the Project. Orex will also be granted a 2% NSR, which may be terminated in exchange for a payment to Orex of $5 million. Completion of the transaction is subject to AEM's confirmatory due diligence, the execution of a definitive joint venture agreement, the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and all other regulatory, corporate and security holder requirements. The transaction is expected to close on or before April 1, 2015. Orex plans, after completion of the transaction, to continue with the spinout of the Barsele asset into a NewCo as previously announced on February 1, 2013.
