Ratos AB Announces Consolidated and Parent Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for 2015

Ratos AB announced consolidated and parent earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported net sales of SEK 6,203 million against SEK 6,890 million a year ago. Operating profit SEK 266 million against SEK 147 million a year ago. Profit before tax was SEK 91 million against loss before tax of SEK 25 million a year ago. Loss for the period attributable to owners of the parent was SEK 25 million or SEK 0.14 per share before and after dilution against SEK 58 million or SEK 0.25 per share before and after dilution a year ago. Cash flows used in operating activities were SEK 87 million against cash flows from operating activities of SEK 398 million a year ago. Purchase, other intangible assets/property, plant and equipment were SEK 188 million against SEK 204 million a year ago. The higher reported profit is due to improved earnings in Ratos's holdings. For the quarter, on parent basis, the company reported operating loss of SEK 61 million against SEK 45 million a year ago. Loss for the period was SKE 65 million against profit of SEK 13 million a year ago. Cash flows used in operating activities were SEK 68 million against SEK 32 million a year ago. The company believe in increased operating profits in 2015.
