The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Irving, Texas.

Pioneer Natural Resources Co. Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings and Operating Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015; Provides Effective Income Tax Rate and Production Guidance for the Second Quarter of 2015

Pioneer Natural Resources Co. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenues and other income of $868 million against $944 million a year ago. Loss from continuing operations before income taxes was $111 million against income from continuing operations before income taxes of $196 million a year ago. Loss from continuing operations was $74 million against profit from continuing operations of $145 million a year ago. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $78 million against net income attributable to common stockholders of $123 million a year ago. Basic and diluted loss per share attributable to common stockholders from continuing operations was $0.50 against basic and diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of $1.00 per share a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $104 million against $466 million a year ago. EBITDAX was $402 million against $601 million a year ago. Net debt at the end of the quarter was $2.3 billion with $400 million on cash on the balance sheet. For the quarter, the company reported total average daily sales volumes of 193,823 (BOE) against 165,653 BOE a year ago. For the second quarter, the company expects effective income tax rate is expected to range from 35% to 40%. For the second quarter, the company's production is forecasted to average 198 MBOEPD to 203 MBOEPD. This is higher than the first quarter actual results, mainly reflecting the higher commodity prices they are seeing in the second quarter.
