Bukit Asam Seeks Acquisition Of Mining Service Firm

PT Bukit Asam (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:PTBA) is planning to acquire a mining service firm. Bukit Asam will make the acquisition through its subsidiary. A senior official of Bukit Asam said it was planning to create its own mining service arm to be synergized with its coal mining, through an acquisition which will be implemented in January 2014. Bukit Assam hopes to maximize its efficiency by having its own mining services, as low coal prices would continue through 2015, official added.

PTBA Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2014

PTBA reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of IDR 3,229 billion compared to IDR 2,690 billion a year ago. Operating profit was IDR 458 billion compared to IDR 423 billion a year ago. Net profit was IDR 426 billion compared to IDR 374 billion a year ago. For the nine months period, the company reported revenue of IDR 9,656 billion, operating profit was IDR 1,851 billion and net profit was IDR 1,582 billion.
