Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spólka Akcyjna provides commercial banking services to retail, corporate, and other clients in Poland and Ukraine. It operates in three segments: Retail, Corporate, and Investment. The Retail segment offers current and saving accounts, deposits, private banking services, investment products, credit and debit cards, consumer and mortgage loans, and corporate loans for small and medium enterprises and housing market customers. The Corporate segment provides current accounts, deposits, depositary services, currency and derivative products, sell-buy-back and buy-sell-back transactions, corporate loans, leasing, and factoring services. This segment also finances large investment projects and issues non-treasury securities. The Investment segment is involved in investing and brokerage activities, interbank transactions, derivative instruments, and debt securities transactions and activities. The company also engages in investment funds, pension funds, and Internet banking, as well as servicing and settlement of card transactions and real estate development activities. In addition, it offers intermediary financial services and debt collection services. Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spólka Akcyjna was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Warsaw, Poland.

PKO Bank Polski SA Group reported unaudited consolidated and standalone earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter on consolidated basis, the company reported net interest income of PLN 1,670,738,000 against PLN 1,739,828,000 a year ago. Operating profit was PLN 802,398,000 against PLN 1,008,957,000 a year ago. Profit before income tax was PLN 810,913,000 against PLN 1,003,325,000 a year ago. Net profit attributable to equity holders of the parent company was PLN 647,181,000 against PLN 802,574,000 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were PLN 0.52 against PLN 0.64 per share a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was PLN 1,679,474,000 against PLN 6,246,279,000 a year ago. Purchase of intangible assets and tangible fixed assets was PLN 76,300,000 against PLN 103,550,000 a year ago. For the quarter on standalone basis, the company reported the company reported net interest income of PLN 1,626,556,000 against PLN 1,703,601,000 a year ago. Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spolka Akcyjna (WSE:PKO) is seeking IPO for Bank Pocztowy S.A. “Bank PKO BP has given the go ahead for the Postal Bank (Bank Pocztowy), in which it has a 25% stake plus one share, to proceed towards an IPO in which PKO BP could sell 1/3 of the stake it owns,” PKO BP said in a press statement.
