Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust Declares Dividend for the Second Quarter Ended June 30, 2015, Payable on August 28, 2015; Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2015

Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust announced a distribution of 3.35 cents per unit in PLife REIT for the period 01 April 2015 to 30 June 2015, comprising: taxable income component of 2.24 cents per unit; tax-exempt income component of 0.35 cents per unit; and capital component of 0.76 cents per unit. Unit holders whose securities accounts with The Central Depository (Pte) Limited are credited with PLife REIT units as at 5.00 p.m. on the Books Closure Date will be entitled to the distribution that will be paid on August 28, 2015. Closing of the Transfer Books and Register of unit holders of PLife REIT is August 5, 2015. The company announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2015. For the quarter, the company's gross revenue was SGD 25.6 million compared with SGD 25.3 million a year ago. This was driven primarily by higher rent from the Singapore properties mainly due to increased growth rate of CPI + 1% in Year 8 of lease commencing 23 August 2014. The increase in revenue was offset by the depreciation of the Japanese Yen as compared to the same period last year. Net property income was SGD 23.99 million compared with SGD 23.6 million a year ago. Total return for the period before tax and distribution was SGD 20.5 million compared with SGD 18.4 million a year ago. Total return for the period after tax before distribution was SGD 19.1 million compared with SGD 16.96 million a year ago. Distributable income to unit holders was SGD 20.3 million or 13.40 SGD cents per unit compared with SGD 17.5 million or 11.60 SGD cents per unit a year ago. Cash flows generated from operating activities was SGD 21.7 million compared with SGD 20.4 million a year ago. Capital expenditure on investment properties was SGD 1.8 million compared with SGD 1.3 million a year ago. For the six months, the company's gross revenue was SGD 50.4 million compared with SGD 49.9 million a year ago. This was mainly due to revenue contribution from the properties acquired in first quarter of 2014 and from the asset recycling initiative, and higher rent from the existing properties offset by the depreciation of the Japanese Yen. Net property income was SGD 47.2 million compared with SGD 46.6 million a year ago. Total return for the period before tax and distribution was SGD 38.5 million compared with SGD 36.2 million a year ago. Total return for the period after tax before distribution was SGD 35.4 million compared with SGD 33.3 million a year ago. Distributable income to unit holders was SGD 39.7 million or 13.12 SGD cents per unit compared with SGD 34.6 million or 11.44 SGD cents per unit a year ago. activities was SGD 40.4 million compared with SGD 41.8 million a year ago. Capital expenditure on investment properties was SGD 2.3 million compared with SGD 2.7 million a year ago. As on June 30, 2015, the company's net asset value per unit was SGD 1.71 and adjusted net asset value per unit was SGD 1.68.
