Petron Corporation operates as an oil refining and marketing company in the Philippines. It processes crude oil into a range of petroleum products, including liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, industrial fuel oil, solvents, asphalts, mixed xylene, and propylene. The company supplies fuel oil, diesel, and LPG to various industrial customers; supplies jet fuel at key airports to international and domestic carriers; and retails gasoline, diesel, and auto LPG to motorists and public transport operators. In addition, it sells its LPG under the Gasul and Fiesta brands to households and other industrial consumers through dealership network; engages in non-life insurance and re-insurance businesses; and operates service stations, retails outlets, restaurants, convenience stores, and others. Further, the company is involved in generation and sale of electricity; and sells polypropylene resins to domestic plastic converters of yarn, film, and injection molding grade plastic products. It operates approximately 2,200 service stations. The company exports its petroleum and non-fuel products to Asian countries, such as China, Brunei, Taiwan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The company was formerly known as Petrophil Corporation and changed its name to Petron Corporation in February 1988. The company was founded in 1933 and is based in Mandaluyong City, the Philippines. Petron Corporation is a subsidiary of SEA Refinery Corporation.

Net income before tax was PHP 3,565,209,000 compared to PHP 5,840,634,000 a year ago. Income after tax was PHP 2,708,133,000 compared to PHP 4,339,346,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to the equity holders of the parent was PHP 2,708,133,000 compared to PHP 4,339,346,000 a year ago. Basic loss per share was PHP 0.21 compared to earnings per share of PHP 0.18 a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was PHP 299,336,000 compared to net cash provided by operating activities of PHP 10,932,579,000 a year ago.

Net income attributable to equity holders of the parent company was PHP 3,320,000 or PHP 0.15 basic and diluted per share against PHP 5,247 million or PHP 0.28 basic and diluted per share a year ago. Net cash flows used in operating activities of PHP 576 million against net cash flows provided by operating activities of PHP 33,752 million a year ago. Additions to property, plant and equipment was PHP 11,892 million against PHP 51,585 million a year ago. Net book value per share as on December 31, 2014 was PHP 113 against PHP 114 as at December 31, 2013.
