PG&E Corporation, through its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, transmits, delivers, and sells electricity and natural gas to residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers primarily in northern and central California. The company’s electricity distribution network consists of 141,700 circuit miles of electric distribution lines, 55 transmission switching substations, and 603 distribution substations; and electricity transmission network comprises 18,100 circuit miles of interconnected transmission lines and 91 electric transmission substations. Its natural gas system consists of approximately 42,700 miles of distribution pipelines, approximately 6,400 miles of backbone and local transmission pipelines, and various storage facilities. The company operates generation facilities with energy sources, such as nuclear, hydroelectric, fossil fuel-fired, and photovoltaic. As of February 10, 2015, it served approximately 16 million customers. The company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

PG&E Corporation announced the appointment of Julie M. Kane to the newly created position of Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. With her election by the Board of Directors, Kane will serve as a Senior Vice President directly reporting to PG&E Corporation Chairman, CEO and President Tony Earley with additional reporting responsibility to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. In her new position, Ms. Kane will be responsible for: Building a best-in-class ethics and compliance program and overseeing its implementation; Overseeing company-wide programs for compliance reporting and related investigatory processes, and improving processes for prevention, detection, and investigation of any potential non-compliant activities; Strengthening ethics and compliance-related training; Reinforcing PG&E’s ethics and compliance culture, as well as the company’s compliance management system; and Identifying areas of ethics and compliance risk, and developing preventive and corrective action plans. PG&E Corporation Appoints Anne Shen Smith as Director

PG&E revealed the addition of Anne Shen Smith to its board of directors as well as to Pacific Gas and Electric Company subsidiary's board. The company added Smith will serve on the Nuclear, Operations, and Safety Committee and the Public Policy Committee of the PG&E's board of directors. Currently, Smith is a director of the boards of the California League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and the Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Los Angeles as well as a member of The Trusteeship, and the Committee of 100.
