L'oreal SA Announces Earnings Results for the First Half Ended June 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

L'Oreal SA announced consolidated earnings results for the first half ended June 30, 2015. The company posted an 8.5% jump in net profit in the first half of the year 2015. Net profit in the six months through June was €1.88 billion up from €1.73 billion in the first half of 2014. L'Oreal SA announced consolidated financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2015. For the period, the company reported net sales of €12,818.9 million against €11,174.6 million a year ago. Operating profit was €2,042.9 million against €1,896.5 million a year ago. Operational profit was €2,323 million against €2,029 million a year ago. Profit before tax and non-controlling interests was €2,650.1 million against €2,352 million a year ago. Net profit continuing operations, excluding non-recurring items, after non-controlling interests was €1,957.3 million or €3.34 per diluted share against €1,773.5 million or €2.85 per diluted share a year ago. Operating cash flow has come out at €1,042 million. At June 30, 2015, net debt amounted to €1,394 million. Net cash provided by operating activities was €1,554.1 million against €1,510.2 million a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets were €512 million against €484.8 million a year ago. Sales increased by 14.7% due to positive effects of the exchange rate and growth in all divisions. At the end of June 2015, net debt amounted to €1,394,000,000,000. It has risen compared with December 2014, mainly because of the payment of the annual dividend in May. The company expects a significant growth in results for 2015. For the full year 2015, the taxation rate in the order of 26% is anticipated.
