L'Oreal SA Reports Earnings Results for the Year 2014

L'Oreal SA reported earnings results for the year 2014. For the year, the company reported net profit of EUR 4.91 billion against EUR 2.96 billion a year earlier. The increase was due largely to a EUR 2.1 billion capital gain from its disposal of skin care company Galderma. The company said sales rose 1.7% to EUR 21.66 billion despite a 1% drop in its consumer products unit that makes up about half of total revenue. Operating profit was EUR 3.89 billion.

L'Oreal SA Proposes Dividend, Payable on May 7, 2015

The Board of Directors of L'Oreal SA has decided to propose that the shareholders' Annual General Meeting of April 22, 2015 should approve a dividend of EUR 2.70 per share, an increase of 8% compared with the dividend paid in 2014. The dividend will be paid on May 7, 2015. Ex-dividend date is May 5, 2015.
