In addition, the company offers investment banking services, including strategic advisory services and capital markets products; institutional equity sales and trading services; equity research services; equity, debt, and index options; convertible bonds; and event driven sales and trading services. Further, it provides fixed income sales and trading, fixed income research, public finance, and municipal trading services; securities lending services; underwriting, market-making, and trust services; and mortgage services to the developers of commercial properties. Additionally, the company is involved in proprietary trading and investment activities; and originating and servicing Federal Housing Administration insured multifamily and healthcare facility loans, as well as securitizing these loans into Ginnie Mae mortgage backed securities. Operating results for the fourth quarter of 2014 were significantly impacted by a decrease of $31.9 million in gross incentive fees earned from the company's participation in hedge funds in its asset management business. Inc. announced the six new executive hires to the healthcare, rental services and logistics, energy, technology and real estate teams. The recent hires underscore the firm's recent growth, particularly in investment banking. The new hires include: Alexander Lim, Managing Director - Healthcare. Alex joins the firm from Lazard Freres, where he was responsible for origination as well as leading client overage and execution for companies in the biotech, diagnostics and life science tools sector. He will continue his focus on the Healthcare Life Sciences sector and is based in Oppenheimer's San Francisco office. Neha Motwani, Executive Director - Healthcare. Neha joins Oppenheimer from Stifel, where she covered companies in the life sciences sector.
