Ocwen Financial Corporation Prices USD 225 Million Fixed Rate Asset-Backed Term Notes

Ocwen Financial Corporation, has announced the pricing of USD 225 million in fixed rate asset-backed term notes to be issued by Ocwen Freddie Advance Funding LlC. The issuance and sale of the Term Notes, which will carry a weighted average fixed interest rate of 2.225%, is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on June 26, 2015. The new USD 450 million servicing advance facility also includes variable funding notes, which were recently issued in connection with the refinancing of an existing USD 400 million servicing advance facility.

U.S. District Judge Dismisses Lawsuit against Ocwen Financial Corp

U.S. District Judge Otis Wright in Los Angeles dismissed a class-action lawsuit against Ocwen Financial Corp. that accused the company of fraudulently charging homeowners for unnecessary property inspections. The lawsuit also accused Ocwen of not conforming to Fannie Mae guidelines that require evaluating an individual's circumstances to check if repeat inspections were needed. In his order, the federal judge reported that homeowners were not a party to the Fannie Mae guidelines and hence did not have any right to enforce them.

Ocwen Financial to Discontinue Residential Servicing Operations at Houston Facility

Ocwen Financial announced that after a strategic review it will discontinue its residential servicing operations at its Houston facility. The decision was made to streamline the number of call center sites, eliminate redundancies, and increase effectiveness within Ocwen's residential loan servicing operations. The decision will affect 140 residential servicing employees, which is less than 5% of the company's 3,200 employees in the U.S. All impacted employees will have the opportunity to apply for employment at other Ocwen servicing facilities.
