Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad, an investment holding company, engages in the chemicals, plastics, and polymers businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It operates through Polymer and Industrial Chemical segments. The company manufactures and markets vinyl-coated fabrics, calendered film and sheeting, and other plastic products, including geo textiles and prefabricated sub-soil drainage systems; and rotomolded plastic products, such as bulk chemical containers, road barriers, playground equipment, and disposal bins. It is also involved in the manufacture and trade of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyurethane (PU) synthetic leather, films and sheets, and geosynthetic products; general trading activities; and manufacture, marketing, and distribution of PU and PVC leather cloth. In addition, the company engages in the manufacture and marketing of ethanol, carbon dioxide, sealants and adhesive products, phosphoric acid, and other related chemical products; manufacture, trade, and sale of petrochemicals and industrial chemicals; and trade and distribution of gasoline blending components. Further, it builds tank farms and other facilities for the storage of industrial chemicals. The company is based in Shah Alam, Malaysia. Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad is a subsidiary of Ancom Berhad.

Nylex (Malaysia) Berhad reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended November 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 319,169,000 compared to MYR 444,601,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 5,304,000 compared to MYR 6,006,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was MYR 2,853,000 or 1.48 sen per basic share compared to MYR 3,621,000 or 1.88 sen per basic share a year ago. The decrease in revenue was due to lower contribution from the Industrial Chemical Division. For the six months period, the company reported revenue of MYR 678,002,000 compared to MYR 863,554,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was MYR 9,922,000 compared to MYR 9,494,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was MYR 5,778,000 or 3.00 sen per basic share compared to MYR 5,955,000 or 3.08 sen per basic share a year ago. Net cash used in operating activities was MYR 1,063,000 against net cash generated from operating activities of MYR 17,311,000 compared to MYR 19,349,000 a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 3,284,000 compared to MYR 496,000 a year ago.
