Wells Fargo & Company provides retail, commercial, and corporate banking services to individuals, businesses, and institutions. Its Community Banking segment offers checking, savings, market rate, individual retirement, and health savings accounts, as well as time deposits and remittances; and lines of credit, auto floor plan lines, equity lines and loans, equipment and transportation loans, education and residential mortgage loans, and debit and credit cards. This segment also provides equipment leases, real estate and other commercial financing, small business administration financing, venture capital financing, cash management, payroll services, retirement plans, and merchant payment processing and private label financing solutions, as well as purchases retail installment contracts. Its Wholesale Banking segment offers commercial loans and lines of credit, letters of credit, asset-based lending, equipment leasing, international trade facilities, trade financing, collection, foreign exchange, treasury management, investment management, institutional fixed-income sales, interest rate, commodity and equity risk management, insurance, corporate trust fiduciary and agency, and investment banking services, as well as online/electronic products. This segment also provides construction, and land acquisition and development loans; secured and unsecured lines of credit; interim financing arrangements; rehabilitation loans; affordable housing loans and letters of credit; loans for securitization; commercial real estate loan servicing; and real estate and mortgage brokerage services. The company’s Wealth, Brokerage and Retirement segment offers financial advisory, wealth management, brokerage, retirement, trust, and reinsurance services. As of February 25, 2015, it operated through approximately 8,700 locations and 12,500 ATMs; offices in 36 countries; and wellsfargo.com Website. The Company was founded in 1852 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Wells Fargo & Company to Cut 1,000 Jobs as it Closes Milwaukee Office

Wells Fargo will close its home lending servicing office in Milwaukee and eliminate 1,000 jobs, saying fewer homeowners are falling behind on payments and seeking help keeping their homes. Wells Fargo & Co. announced that as the economy has improved over the last two years, it has received fewer delinquent payments, and fewer customers have required assistance staying in their homes. The company says it will continue to offer assistance to borrowers facing financial hardship. Wells Fargo will close the office in late July. It says it will inform employees of other job opportunities within the company.

Wells Fargo Appoints Howard Cohen as an Executive Advisor for its Commercial Banking Operations in New Jersey

Wells Fargo announced that it has tapped Howard Cohen as an executive advisor for its Commercial Banking operations in New Jersey. Cohen, the recently retired chairman of EisnerAmper LLP, has more than 40 years of experience in public accounting and consulting. In his new Wells Fargo advisory role, he will support Wells Fargo Commercial Banking's growth strategy in the New Jersey region, with offices located in Summit, Basking Ridge, and Haddon. The establishment of an executive advisory role for New Jersey followed the success of the model in other East Coast growth markets. Cohen is a former managing partner and CEO of Amper, Poliziner & Mattia LLP.

Wells Fargo Names Derek Jones as New Region President for Central Florida

Wells Fargo & Company has named Derek Jones the new region president for Central Florida. He succeeds former Central Florida region President Larisa Perry, who was recently named lead region president for Wells Fargo's Northeast region. Jones, a 20-plus-year veteran of the company, most recently served as region president for the Gulf Coast region. Prior to that, he was area president for east Central Florida. In his new role, Jones will report to Florida lead region President Scott Coble.
