The National Industrialization Company primarily operates as an industrial and petrochemical company worldwide. The company erects, manages, operates, and owns petrochemical, chemical, plastic, engineering, and metal projects, as well as provides industrial services and markets its products. Its petrochemical products include polypropylene, high and low density polyethylene, and acrylic acid; chemical products comprise titanium dioxide that are used in paints, inks, plastics, rubbers, papers, textiles, ceramic tiles, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, etc., as well as chlorine, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hypochlorite. The company also manufactures metallurgical products, such as steel wires consisting of mattress springs, welding rods, cable shielding wires, deformed wires for pre-cast concrete, and galvanized wires of low and high carbon content; metal castings, such as truck differentials, water pump heads, gear boxes, and solid steel alloys, as well as other metal alloys, including bronze, aluminum, and copper; and various truck and absorbent axels, as well as lead by the recycling of spent batteries. In addition, it provides car batteries; plastic sheets comprising polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, and polystyrene sheets; bi-axially oriented polypropylene films; industrial membranes, such as high and low density polyethylene membranes that are used for lining, covering, or protecting various facilities; injection products comprising casings and caps for car batteries, and paint pails; and corrugated carton sheets. Further, it offers polyolefins marketing, sales and distribution technical inspection, life safety and fire protection, management systems, hazardous waste management, analytical testing, and environmental engineering services. The company was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

National Industrialisation Co. (Tasnee) signed a SAR 1.2 billion Islamic loan it will use to part-fund buying a further stake in its subsidiary Cristal. The five-year murabaha loan a Shariah-compliant cost-plus-profit arrangement is with Riyad Bank and Saudi British Bank. It has a one-year grace period and the option for a one-year extension with payment due in equal semi-annual installments.

National Industrialization Company announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 2014. For the quarter, the company recorded a net profit of USD 42.8 million compared with USD 80 million posted during the corresponding period of 2013, a 46.5% increase in its net profit. The company attributed the steep decline in net profit to the lower prices for its petrochemical products, as well as for titanium dioxide and acrylic acid.

National Industrialization Co Announces Executive Changes

National Industrialisation Co announced that it had appointed Mutlaq al-Morished to head the company, effective January 12, 2015, replacing Saleh bin Fahad al-Nazha who is leaving on Dec. 31, 2014 for personal reasons. Morished is a chief financial officer of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. Morished is also chairman of Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co, representing Sabic which has a 35% stake in the firm.
