National Industrialization Company engages in the industrial and petrochemical sectors worldwide. It produces titanium dioxide for use in painting, inks, plastics, rubbers, papers, textiles, ceramic tiles, cosmetics, pharmaceutical preparations, and other industries; other materials; ilmenite and steel rows; and ethylene, polyethylene, propylene, polypropylene, acrylic panels, and rutile. The company also manufactures polycarbonate, acrylic, ABS, and polystyrene sheets; automotive battery cases and covers, and paint pails and covers; lead and sodium sulfate; and polyethylene geo-membrane liners for protection, transportation, collection, and containment of liquids, solids, and gases in construction applications, as well as recycles polypropylene automotive batteries. In addition, it renders technical industrial services; manufactures steel and non-steel castings; produces towed steel wires, spring wires, steel wires for cables, twisted reinforcement wires to carry the electrical conductors and for concrete, and welding wires; and produces and markets dry and liquid batteries for vehicles and industrial usage. Further, the company offers basic chemicals and polymers; bi-axially oriented polypropylene films for printing, lamination, packaging, and coating; corrugated cartons; and mineral sands and titanium metal powder. Additionally, it provides quality, environment, and food safety management systems; occupational and heath safety systems; technical inspection and testing of boilers, compressors, cranes, and lifting equipment; inspection and examination of the safety equipment; engineering consultations for qualification; non-harmonious tests; measurement and standardization of the measuring equipment and systems; and training in various technical, engineering, and managerial domains. National Industrialization Company was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The National Industrialization Company reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 2015. The company reported a net loss of SAR 107.7 million in the second quarter of this year from the net profit of SAR 408.3 million in the same period of 2014 on the back of lower product prices and higher expenses. The company's operational profit was 79.9% lower at SAR 184 million. The reported loss is attributable to lower product sales prices, increased general and administrative expenses as a result of the company's restructuring and transformation projects, an impairment charge to non-current assets at one of the subsidiary companies and other increased expenses. For the first six months of 2015, the company posted a net loss of SAR 440.2 million compared with a net profit of SAR 729.1 million in the same period a year earlier.

The National Industrialization Company announced earnings results for the first quarter of 2015. The company swung to a first-quarter net loss of SAR 332.5 million from a net profit of SAR 320.8 million in the same period of 2014 amid lower product prices. The company's gross profit fell by 45.6% year on year to SAR 706.8 million in the first quarter of this year, while its operational profit slumped by 72% at SAR 232.5 million.
