It also provides aftermarket parts and support related to heavy-duty transit buses, including brakes, brushless alternators, E-drive systems, bundles, LED headlamps, thermal system kits, electric water pump kits, flush glass windows, and LED lighting products, as well as distributes original equipment parts. The company offers its service parts under the New Flyer Kinetik brand. Its principal customers comprise municipal and other local transit authorities that provide mass transit to local communities. New Flyer Industries Inc. was founded in 1930 and is headquartered in Winnipeg, Canada.

New Flyer Industries Inc. announced that the company and the UNIFOR main collective bargaining unit at New Flyer's Winnipeg facility have reached a tentative new three-year collective bargaining agreement. The members of the main bargaining unit will hold a ratification vote on the new agreement on April 11, 2015. The current collective bargaining agreement expired on March 31, 2015; however, the terms and conditions of that agreement remain in effect until the parties enter into a new agreement. The Winnipeg plant's unionized workforce represents approximately 22% of New Flyer's total workforce in Canada and the United States.
