Nordex SE, together with its subsidiaries, develops, produces, services, and markets onshore wind power systems in Europe, Asia, and the United States. It offers various wind turbines comprising N131 with 3 megawatt (MW) capacity for average wind speeds; N117 with 3 MW capacity for medium wind speeds; N100 with 3.3 MW capacity for strong-wind locations; N117 with 2.4 MW capacity for low-wind sites; N100 with 2.5 MW capacity for use in medium and low wind conditions; and N90 with 2.5 MW capacity used at strong-wind sites. The company also provides project development services, as well as acquires rights and creates the infrastructure required to construct wind power systems at suitable locations. In addition, the company offers planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of various electrical and technical automation systems, as well as the infrastructural measures required for wind turbines. Further, it provides installation services of turnkey wind parks with the substation, as well as maintenance, inspection, repair, spare parts, modernization, technical enhancements, and remote monitoring and management services. Nordex SE was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

Nordex Wins a New Contracts for a Total of 55 MW in Turkey

Nordex strengthens again its role in Turkey. It will be installing 19 Generation Gamma turbines N117/2400 for its new customer ARE Elektrik in the wind farm "Kurtkayasi". For ARE Elektrik this is the first wind energy project. Since its foundation in 2009 the company has so far concentrated on hydroelectric power plants. Kurtkayasi" is located in the province of Kayseri in Central Anatolia, near the city of Yayhali. With average wind speeds of around 6.9 m/s the site offers good conditions: with the planned tower height of 91 metres, the Nordex turbines are expected to generate 148,000 MWh a year, corresponding a capacity factor of more than 37%. Thus, the wind farm will provide energy for about 42,000 households. An additinal new project is for the customer Suay Enerji -retim A.S. Nordex is installing the wind farm Abduk on the Aegean coast also utilizing four N117/2400 turbines due to the prevailing average wind speeds of 6.6 m/s at the site.

Nordex SE Announces Executive Changes

Dr. Jürgen Zeschky, Chief Executive Officer of Nordex SE, has informed the Supervisory Board of the company that he intends to leave the company for personal reasons. Dr. Jürgen Zeschky and the Supervisory Board of the company have agreed that Dr. Zeschky will resign from his position as a member of the Management Board, effective 31 May 2015. The future activities of Nordex will be led by Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, hitherto Chief Customer Officer, as Chief Executive Officer and Bernard Schäferbarthold, who will continue his role as Chief Financial Officer in the Management Board. Both Krogsgaard and Schäferbarthold have been instrumental in Nordex's business success in recent years and have a long track record in the wind power industry. At the same time, an Executive Committee will be established, which will be comprised of the two Management Board members as well as executives from various core corporate functions. Chaired by Lars Bondo Krogsgaard, the Executive Committee will be responsible for strategic matters as well as specific project and operational tasks of overriding importance.
