Nordex Wins Further Orders in Pakistan

Nordex SE has again received two orders for the turn-key installation of wind farms in Pakistan. It will be delivering a total of 40, N100/2500 turbines to the province of Sindh. In view of the high ambient temperature conditions at the site, hot climate versions of the turbines designed to operate in temperatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius will be used. Construction is to commence in the spring, with both projects to go on line in summer 2016. After completion, Nordex will be providing service for the farms for a further 10 years. Local site preparations including work on the foundations, access roads and cabling will be handled by Nordex' partner Descon Engineering, Lahore. Nordex has previously completed several projects in consortium with Descon already with a combined volume of 150 MW in Pakistan. As a result, the subsidiary Nordex Pakistan, Islamabad, is one of the country's most experienced vendors.

Nordex SE Wins Contract for the Delivery and Installation of a Wind Farm for STEAG New Energies

Nordex SE has been awarded another contract for the delivery and installation of a wind farm for STEAG New Energies including a 15-year premium service contract. Installation of the seven N100/2500 turbines is to commence in January 2016, with the 17.5 MW farm to go into operation in summer of the same year. The "Cormainville" project is located roughly 120 kilometres south-west of Paris. Like the previous project "Onze Muids", the wind farm has been planned by Volkswind. The turbines to be used in the wind farm have been designed for medium wind speeds and will yield an above-average capacity factor of around 34% for the project.

Nordex Wins 111 MW Project in South Africa

Nordex SE is broadening its market position in South Africa with the award of a further firmly financed order for a total of 111 MW. The turn-key project located in the south of the country will have 37 N117/3000 turbines, making it the first one in South Africa to be fitted with Generation Delta turbines. With wind speeds averaging around 8 m/s at the site, the turbines will be able to produce 424 GWh of clean electricity after being installed. Accordingly, the wind farm will achieve an above-average capacity factor of more than 43%.
