Nordex SE, together with its subsidiaries, develops, produces, services, and markets onshore wind power systems in Europe, Asia, and the United States. It offers various wind turbines comprising N131 with 3 megawatt (MW) capacity for average wind speeds; N117 with 3 MW capacity for medium wind speeds; N100 with 3.3 MW capacity for strong-wind locations; N117 with 2.4 MW capacity for low-wind sites; N100 with 2.5 MW capacity for use in medium and low wind conditions; and N90 with 2.5 MW capacity used at strong-wind sites. The company also provides project development services, as well as acquires rights and creates the infrastructure required to construct wind power systems at suitable locations. In addition, the company offers planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of various electrical and technical automation systems, as well as the infrastructural measures required for wind turbines. Further, it provides installation services of turnkey wind parks with the substation, as well as maintenance, inspection, repair, spare parts, modernization, technical enhancements, and remote monitoring and management services. Nordex SE was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.

Nordex Wins 111 MW Project in South Africa

Nordex SE is broadening its market position in South Africa with the award of a further firmly financed order for a total of 111 MW. The turn-key project located in the south of the country will have 37 N117/3000 turbines, making it the first one in South Africa to be fitted with Generation Delta turbines. With wind speeds averaging around 8 m/s at the site, the turbines will be able to produce 424 GWh of clean electricity after being installed. Accordingly, the wind farm will achieve an above-average capacity factor of more than 43%.

Nordex Group Provides Earnings Guidance for the Year 2015

Nordex Group provided earnings guidance for the year 2015. For the year, the Management Board expects sales to continue to grow at a double-digit rate to EUR 1.9 - 2.1 billion. At the same time, the company is working on improving its EBIT margin to 5 - 6% in 2015.

Nordex SE Wins Follow-Up Contract from Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas for Installation of Pampa Wind Farm

Nordex SE has won a follow-up contract from Usinas y Trasmisiones Electricas for the installation of the Pampa wind farm. UTE's project comprises 59 N117/2400 wind turbines, which Nordex will be installing on a turnkey basis. Following construction of the wind farm, the two companies will continue their partnership on a long-term basis under a premium service contract with duration of minimum ten years. Nordex will commence infrastructure work on access routes, foundations and cabling etc. in the first half of 2015. The wind farm will go on-line towards mid of 2016 and yield an expected 640 GWh of electricity per year, allowing UTE to provide some 180,000 households with local clean electricity. Nordex will source services and components from a number of local suppliers during the construction as well as the maintenance phase. The project has mean wind speeds of 7.9 meters per second, which will be converted into electricity by Nordex' N117/2400 wind turbines on towers that are 91 meters tall.
