In addition, the company offers safe deposit boxes, wire transfers, and online banking services. Further, it offers various financial products comprising variable annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, retirement plans, and professionally managed asset accounts, as well as stocks, bonds, and exchange traded funds; and financial planning services. The National Capital Bank of Washington was founded in 1889 and is based in Washington, District of Columbia.

National Capital Bank announced that it has appointed John D. Brand as senior vice president and chief lending officer.

National Capital Bank Announces Executive Changes

National Capital Bank announced the appointment of John D. Brand as its senior vice president and chief lending officer. In his new role, Brand will work closely with Robert F. Comstock, the bank's chairman and CEO, and with the bank's senior management team, as NCB implements a business growth strategy. After starting at a community bank in Phoenix, Arizona, he held senior leadership positions with Citibank, Chevy Chase Bank and most recently Burke & Herbert Bank in Alexandria. The bank has also announced the promotions of R. Andrew Didden to senior vice president and chief investment officer, Sheryl C. Smith to senior vice president and chief compliance officer, and Bob D. Hall, II to senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

The National Capital Bank of Washington Announces Management Appointments

The National Capital Bank of Washington announced several recent appointments to its Board of Directors and Senior Level Management. With the passing of Richard A. Didden, Sr., the bank's Chairman and CEO late in 2013, the Board of Directors elected Robert F. Comstock to serve in both roles previously held by Mr. Didden. Comstock has served on NCB's Board for 15 years, has been Chair of its Executive Committee 10 times, and currently serves as legal counsel. R. Andrew Didden, Jr. was elected to the Bank's Board of Directors at its December meeting. Mr. Didden has been an officer of the Bank for 10 years, currently manages the Bank's investment department, the National Capital Financial Group, and represents the fifth generation of the Didden family to take an active role in the company's management. The Bank's senior management was further strengthened by the appointment of Jeffrey Karafa as the Bank's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his role with Bank of Michigan, Mr. Karafa served as Head of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Fidelity Bank in Dearborn, Michigan.
