MakeMyTrip Limited Announces Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended December 31, 2014; Provides Revenue Guidance for Fiscal 2015

MakeMyTrip Limited announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $75.69 million compared to $69.96 million reported a year ago. Loss from operating activities was $2.91 million compared to $1.17 million reported a year ago. Adjusted operating profit was $1.47 million compared to $1.39 million reported a year ago. Loss attributable to owners of the company was $3.61 million or $0.09 per diluted share compared to $1.63 million or $0.04 per diluted share reported a year ago. Adjusted net profit was $0.36 million or $0.01 per diluted share compared to $1.22 million or $0.03 per diluted share reported a year ago. Loss before tax was $3.63 million compared to $1.59 million reported a year ago. The company delivered strong operating and financial results despite some limited service disruption in the Indian domestic air industry in December. Adjusted EBITDA was over $2.9 million during the quarter. For the nine months, the company reported revenue of $231.07 million compared to $194.52 million reported a year ago. Loss from operating activities was $9.56 million compared to $12.51 million reported a year ago. Adjusted operating profit was $1.42 million compared to $2.11 million reported a year ago. The company is improving its fiscal year 2015 annual revenue less service cost guidance to a constant currency growth of 30%-31%, which is in the range of $137 million to $138 million, at an estimated average exchange rate of INR 61 per USD. The total revenue less service cost growth that it has achieved in the first three fiscal quarters of 2015, along with the current booking trends within both its air ticketing and hotels and packages businesses, reinforces its confidence that its will be able to deliver on its existing strategic and financial targets for fiscal 2015.

MakeMyTrip Appoints Saujanya Shrivastava as Chief Marketing Officer

MakeMyTrip has appointed Saujanya Shrivastava as its new chief marketing officer. Shrivastava will be responsible for leading marketing initiatives across the company's business lines and group entities and his key areas of focus will involve strengthening brand association with leisure travel, driving customer engagement & loyalty, and the mobile platform. Shirvastava joins MakeMyTrip from Bharti AXA Life Insurance where he served as the chief marketing officer.
