The company develops high rise office towers, transportation hubs, retail assets, hotels, residential and commercial properties, and others; and operates Sooka Sentral, Plaza Alam Sentral, and Nu Sentral retail shopping malls. It also has various engineering and construction contracts for projects, including high-rise buildings, hospitals, airports, retail malls, colleges, residential buildings, and energy-power network transmission projects, as well as road, civil, and infrastructural works. In addition, the company offers infrastructure development services primarily for concession and environmental projects, such as beach, river, and coastline rehabilitations. Further, it leases office and service residence space; invests in, develops, and manages properties; trades in construction materials and shares; operates and maintains the Eastern Dispersal Link highway; operates, manages, and maintains Kuala Lumpur Sentral railway station and Penang Sentral; manages and operates a fitness center; manufactures and sells pre-stressed spun concrete poles; manufactures, distributes, and sells ceramic tiles; owns and operates a chilled water plant; designs and builds transmission lines and substations; and sells business information and develops Websites, as well as offers modular building design systems. Additionally, the company is involved in the provision of facility management, information technology and professional outsourcing, consultancy, infrastructure and environmental engineering, and security guard services; and engineering and construction services to power transmission systems and buildings. Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad was incorporated in 1968 and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported profit from operations of MYR 298,408,000, profit before tax of MYR 252,459,000 and profit from continuing operations of MYR 245,385,000 on revenue of MYR 404,185,000 compared to profit from operations of MYR 68,102,000, profit before tax of MYR 23,908,000 and profit from continuing operations of MYR 13,369,000 on revenue of MYR 204,649,000 reported a year ago. The lower revenue recorded in the current quarter compared with the immediate preceding quarter was mainly due to slower work progress in the engineering, construction and environment division and lower revenue recognition from The Sentral Residences property development project. The higher profit before taxation recorded for the current quarter as compared with the immediate preceding quarter was mainly derived from the improved performance of all the business units and gain generated by the property division. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company from continuing operations was MYR 234,483,000 or 13.15 sen per basic and diluted share compared to MYR 6,134,000 or 0.37 sen per basic and diluted share reported a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was MYR 237,861,000 or 13.34 sen per basic and diluted share compared to MYR 11,985,000 or 0.72 sen per basic and diluted share reported a year ago. Net assets per share attributable to the equity holders of the company were 126.0 sen compared to 112.8 sen as at December 31, 2014. Net cash generated from operating activities was MYR 109,608,000 compared to MYR 93,293,000 reported a year ago.
