Mondi plc offers packaging and paper products primarily in central Europe, Russia, North America, and South Africa. It operates in two divisions, Europe & International and South Africa. The company converts packaging paper, polymers, films, aluminum foil, and other raw materials into packaging products, such as corrugated packaging, industrial bags, extrusion coatings, consumer packaging, and advanced materials. It produces appearance, kraft, semi chem, and recycled containerboard products; sack kraft paper, speciality kraft paper, and market pulp; corrugated packaging products; pasted open mouth, pasted valve, pinch bottom, protector, refuse, terra, and flexible intermediate bulk container/big industrial bags; and extrusion coated barrier products and solutions. The company also offers silicone-coated and speciality release liners for graphic arts, medical, hygiene, fibre composites, tapes, labels, and other applications; and stand up pouches, reclosable and non-reclosable bags, poly-woven bags, paper-based bags, microwaveable packaging, labels, special product features, printed laminates and barrier materials rollstock, printed mono film rollstock, and biodegradable films for consumer goods packaging. In addition, it offers advanced films and components comprising diaper and femcare components, label films, laminating films, tube laminating films, surface protection films, transport and pallet protection products, and industrial films for form-fill-seal applications; office papers; and professional printing paper and board for offset, pre-print, colour laser, high-speed inkjet, and other digital printing needs. It serves automotive; building and construction; chemical; food and beverage; home and personal care; medical and pharmaceutical; packaging and paper converting; pet care; farming and agriculture; office and professional printing; graphic and photographic; and other industries. Mondi plc was founded in 1967 and is based in Addlestone, the United Kingdom.

Mondi plc and Mondi Limited Appoint Dominique Reiniche as an Independent Non-Executive Director, Effective October 1, 2015

Mondi plc and Mondi Limited announced the appointment of Dominique Reiniche as an independent non-executive director with effect from October 1, 2015. She will replace Imogen Mkhize, an independent non-executive director, who will be retiring from the boards of Mondi Limited and Mondi plc on September 30, 2015. Imogen is in her ninth year of office having been appointed to the Boards in May 2007. Dominique, a French national, holds an MBA from the ESSEC Business School in Paris and started her career with Procter & Gamble before moving to Kraft Jacobs Suchard as director of marketing and strategy. She was then with The Coca-Cola Company and with Coca-Cola Enterprises from 1992 to 2014 starting in sales and marketing before taking on roles of increasing responsibility. From 2005 she was president Europe and then chairman in 2014. With effect from 1 October 2015, Dominique will be a member of the DLC nominations and remuneration committees. Also with effect from 1 October 2015, Stephen Harris, non-executive director, will take over the chairmanship of the Mondi Limited social & ethics committee from Imogen. Stephen is currently a member of this committee. At the same time Fred Phaswana, joint chairman, will become a member of the Mondi Limited social & ethics committee.

Mondi plc Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Six Months Ended June 2015; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Full Year of 2015

Mondi plc reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 2015. For the six months, the group reported revenue of €3,459 million compared to €3,148 million, underlying EBITDA of €671 million compared to €553 million, underlying operating profit of €490 million compared to €377 million, operating profit of €451 million compared to €374 million, profit before tax of €392 million compared to €312 million, diluted underlying earnings per share of 67.8 cents compared to 51.9 cents, diluted earnings per share of 60.3 cents compared to 48.6 cents, cash generated from operations of €538 million compared to €439 million for the last year. Net debt as on June 2015 was €1,741 million compared to €1,758 million as on June 2014. Profits attributable shareholders of €292 million compared to €235 million for the last year. Underlying profit for the period was €328 million against €251 million a year ago. Headline earnings for the period were €291 million against €234 million a year ago. Diluted headline earnings per share of 60.0 cents compared to 48.2 cents in last year. Net cash generated from operating activities of €448 million compared to €390 million, investment in property, plant and equipment of €276 million compared to €249 million for the last year. Group revenue was up 10% due to higher sales volumes and prices, acquisitions and currency effects.  Excluding the effects of acquisitions and disposals, revenue was up 3.9%. The company provided earnings guidance for the full year of 2015. Current expectation is for full year CapEx in the range of €600 million, although this may, of course, be influenced of the exact timing of payments of, in particular, the various big projects. The expects tax rate to remain stable for the remainder of this year.
