Moog Inc. designs, manufactures, and integrates precision motion and fluid controls, and control systems for original equipment manufacturers and end users worldwide. The company’s Aircraft Controls segment offers primary and secondary flight controls for military and commercial aircraft; aftermarket support services; and ground-based navigation aids. Its Space and Defense Controls segment provides controls for satellites and space vehicles, launch vehicles, armored combat vehicles, tactical and strategic missiles, security and surveillance, and other defense applications; systems for gun aiming, stabilization, and automatic ammunition loading for armored combat vehicles; and weapons stores management systems for light attack aerial reconnaissance, ground, and sea platforms. The company’s Industrial Systems segment offers systems for applications in injection and blow molding machinery, metal forming presses, and heavy industry customers in steel and aluminum production; solutions for power generation applications; and systems and components for applications in oil and gas exploration and production, as well as electric pitch controls and blade monitoring systems for wind turbines. This segment also provides electromechanical motion simulation bases for flight simulation and training markets; medical training simulators; and custom test systems and controls for automotive, structural, and fatigue testing. Its Components segment offers slip rings, fiber optic rotary joints, and motors; electromechanical actuators for military, aerospace, and commercial applications; and fiber optic modems. The company’s Medical Devices segment provides portable pumps, stationary pumps, and disposable sets used in the delivery of enteral nutrition for patients; electronic ambulatory infusion pumps with associated administration sets; ultrasonic and optical sensors; and surgical hand pieces. Moog Inc. was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in East Aurora, New York.

Moog Inc. Announces Long Term Contract with All Nippon Airways for Comprehensive Support of Moog Products on 787 Aircraft Fleet

Moog Inc. and All Nippon Airways (ANA) signed a 10 year exclusive contract for comprehensive support of the Moog Flight Control Systems and Products on ANA's fleet of 787 aircraft. The program will include maintenance, spares, pooling and on-site technical support.

Moog Wins $71.3 Million Naval Contract

Moog Inc. announced that it is getting the next major installment from its long-running work on the V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft. The Elma motion control equipment maker has won a $71.3 million contract from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command to repair a variety of components on the versions of the V-22 Osprey used by both the Marine Corps and the Air Force. The V-22, which has propellers that can be tilted either horizontally or vertically so it can either fly like a plane or a helicopter, has been one of Moog's major military aircraft projects.

Moog Inc. Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended January 3, 2015 ; Revises Earnings Guidance for the Fiscal Year 2015

Moog Inc. reported consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended January 3, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported sales of $631 million, down 2% from a year ago sales of $643.385 million, the result of negative foreign currency effects. Net earnings was $35 million increased by 10% from previous year net earnings of 32,097 and diluted earnings per share of $0.86 were 23% higher against $0.70 a year ago, in part the result of the company's on-going share repurchase program. Earnings before income taxes were $49.438 million against $46.857 million a year ago. Total operating profit was $65.701 million against $71.727 million a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $78.473 million against $68.235 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was $20.160 million against $20.019 million a year ago. The company is reducing its sales forecast for the fiscal year 2015 by $95 million which will result in sales of $2.57 billion, net earnings of $157 million and earnings per share of $3.85. This updated guidance does not include the impact of additional share repurchases. The company is still forecasting fiscal 2015 to be another year of strong cash flow and record earnings per share.
