Mega First Corporation Berhad, an investment holding company, engages in the power generation, limestone quarrying, and property development and investment businesses primarily in Malaysia and China. The company operates in three segments: Power, Resources, and Property. The Power segment builds, owns, and operates power plants, including Shaoxing Plant, a coal- plant; Tawau Plant, a diesel-fuelled power plant in Tawau, Sabah; and Don Sahong Hydropower Project. The Resources segment is involved in quarrying of limestone; and manufacture and trading of calcium carbonate powder, lime based products, calcium silicate bricks, and cement bricks. The Property segment engages in property development and property investment primarily in residential and commercial buildings. The company also engineers, designs, and manufactures automotive components; trades in light emitting diode for lighting purposes; manufactures and trades in labels and printed products; and manufactures packaging materials. In addition, it is involved in the sand mining, car park operation, property management, and desktop publishing businesses, as well as operates as a contractor for operation and maintenance of power plants. The company was incorporated in 1966 and is based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Mega First Corp. Bhd reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. The company's profit before tax rose to MYR 33,421,000 from MYR 31,657,000 in the same period of last year. Revenue slipped to MYR 135,840,000 from MYR 168,825,000 previously. The group's profit before tax rose 5.6% to MYR 33.4 million despite a 19.5% decline in revenue. Profit from operations was MYR 34,559,000 against MYR 32,760,000 last year. Profit after tax for the period was MYR 24,735,000 against MYR 23,878,000 last year. Profit after tax attributable to owners of the company was MYR 18,667,000 against MYR 15,634,000 last year. Diluted EPS was 8.36 sen against 8.36 sen last year. Net assets per ordinary share, as at March 31, 2015 were 3.40 sen against 3.32 sen as at December 31, 2014. Net cash from operating activities was MYR 32,968,000 against MYR 31,942,000 last year. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 13,913,000 against MYR 9,190,000 last year.
