Panasonic Introduces Power Relays 'HE-S Relay'

Panasonic Corporation announced that it introduced smallest power relays 'HE-S Relay', which have realized one of the lowest operating powerlevels. HE-S Relays can safely cut off abnormal currents that may occur when power conditioners for photovoltaic power generation or power storage system, industrial equipment such as elevators, and stationary EV chargers are in operation. They will be available on the market starting in June 2015. The smallest package can reduce the footprint, contributing to the downsizing of the equipment. Dimensions: 30 (L) x 36 (W) x 40 (H) mm. The coil hold voltage is reduced to approximately 30% of the rating voltage. One of the industry's lowest operating power levels contributes to the energy savings of the equipment. Operating power: 1.88 W (at an ambient temperature of 20°C) and Holding power: 170 mW (at an ambient temperature of 20°C). The adoption of the mirror contact structure (conforming to EN 60947-4-1) facilitates the design of safety circuits.
