Main Street Capital Corporation is a business development company specializing in long- term equity and debt investments in small and lower middle market companies. The firm focuses on investments in, subordinated loans, private equity, venture debt, mezzanine investments, mature, mid venture, industry consolidation, later stage, late venture, emerging growth, management buyouts, change of control transactions, ownership transitions, recapitalizations, strategic acquisitions, refinancing, business expansion capital, growth financings, family estate planning, and other growth initiatives primarily for later stage businesses. It invests in consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, healthcare, industrials, information technology, materials, telecommunication services, and utilities sectors. It does not seek to invest in start-up companies or companies with speculative business plans. It seeks to invest in traditional or basic businesses. The firm primarily invests in companies based in the Southern, South Central, and Southwestern regions of the United States but also considers other domestic investment opportunities. It invests between $2 million and $75 million in companies with revenues between $5 million and $300 million, enterprise values between $3 million and $50 million, and EBITDA between $1 million and $20 million. The firm seeks to charge a fixed interest rate between 12 percent and 14 percent, payable in cash, in case of its mezzanine loan investments. The firm typically invests in the form of term debt with equity participation and/or direct equity investments. It prefers to maintain fully diluted minority and majority equity positions in its portfolio companies of 5 percent to 50 percent, and may have controlling interests in some instances. The firm also co-invests with other investment firms. It seeks to exit its debt investments through the repayment of the investment from internally generated cash flow and/or refinancing within a period of three to seven years. It participates in warrants, PIK (Payment in Kind) interest, convertible securities, junior secured or unsecured, senior secured debt, unitranche debt, equity related, common equity, and preferred equity. Main Street Capital Corporation Announces Unaudited Consolidated Financial Results for the First Quarter Ended March 31, 2015: Provides Earnings Guidance for the Second Quarter of 2015

Main Street Capital Corporation announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total investment income of $37,179,000 against $30,776,000 a year ago. Net investment income was 23,491,000 against $20,739,000 a year ago. Net realized income was $21,371,000 against $22,182,000 a year ago. Resulting from operations was $35,424,000 against $27,234,000 a year ago. Income tax benefit was $291,000 against income tax provision of $1,665,000 a year ago. Net realized income per share -basic and diluted was $0.46 against $0.56 a year ago. Net investment income per share - basic and diluted was $0.51 against $0.52 a year ago. Net asset value per share was $21.87 as on March 31, 2015 against $20.85 as on December 31, 2015. Distributable net realized income was $22,634,000 against $23,035,000 a year ago. Distributable net investment income per share - basic and diluted was $0.54 against $0.54 a year ago. Distributable net realized income per share - basic and diluted was $0.49 against $0.58 a year ago. Interest income was $30,067,000 against $25,734,000 a year ago. The $6.4 million increase in total investment income was principally attributable to a $4.3 million increase in interest income primarily from higher average levels of portfolio debt investments, a $1.1 million increase in dividend income from investment portfolio equity investments and a $0.8 million increase in fee income. The increase in total investment income in the first quarter ended March 31, 2015 included a $0.6 million net decrease in the amount of total investment income related to accelerated prepayment and repricing activity for certain investment portfolio debt investments when compared to the same period in 2014. The $0.4 million decrease in distributable net realized income, which is net realized income before non-cash, share-based compensation expense, was primarily attributable to the $3.2 million increase in total distributable net investment income as discussed above, offset by a $3.6 million decrease in the net realized gain (loss) from investments from the comparable period in the prior year due to a net realized loss from investments of $2.1 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2015. Operating results for the first quarter of 2015 resulted in a 30% increase in net increase in net assets of $35.4 million or $0.77 per share. For the second quarter of 2015, the company expects to generate distributable net investment income of $0.55 to $0.57 per share. This estimate is $0.025 to $0.045 per share of previously announced dividends for the first quarter of $0.525 per share. In addition, guidance on the expected per-share difference between distributable net investment income and net investment income for the second quarter to be approximately $0.03 or $0.04 per share per quarter for the remainder of 2015.

Main Street Capital Corporation Announces Monthly Dividend for July, August and September 2015, Payable on July 15, 2015, August 14, 2015 and September 15, 2015

Main Street Capital Corporation announced that its Board of Directors declared regular monthly dividends of $0.175 per share for each of July, August and September 2015. These monthly dividends total $0.525 per share for the second quarter of 2015 and represent a 6% increase from the regular monthly dividends paid for the third quarter of 2014. Including the regular monthly and supplemental dividends declared to date, Main Street will have paid $15.07 per share in cumulative cash dividends since its October 2007 initial public offering at $15.00 per share. The ex-dividend dates will be June 29, 2015, July 17, 2015 and August 18, 2015 respectively. The record dates will be July 1, 2015, July 21, 2015 and August 20, 2015 respectively. The payment dates will be July 15, 2015, August 14, 2015 and September 15, 2015 respectively.

Main Street Announces Increase in Commitments Under its Credit Facility to $597.5 Million

Main Street Capital Corporation announced the expansion of total commitments under its five-year credit facility from $572.5 million to $597.5 million and an increase in the accordion feature of the credit facility from $650.0 million to $750.0 million. The $25.0 million increase in total commitments under the credit facility was the result of a commitment increase by one of the existing lenders in the facility. The recent increase in total commitments was executed under the accordion feature of the credit facility which allows for an increase in total commitments under the facility up to $750.0 million from new and existing lenders on the same terms and conditions as the existing commitments. The recent increase in total commitments under the credit facility provides Main Street with access to additional financing capacity in support of its future investment and operational activities.
