Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation, together with its subsidiary, Hollinger-Hanna Limited, owns a 15.10% equity interest in Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) that operates an iron mine near Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. IOC engages in the production and supply of iron ore pellets and concentrates in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. Its primary products include standard acid pellets, flux pellets, direct reduction pellets, and iron ore concentrates. The company receives a 7% gross overriding royalty on iron ore products produced, sold, and shipped by IOC and a $0.10 per tonne commission interest on sales of iron ore by IOC. It also holds 12 long-term leases and 6 licenses covering approximately 18,200 hectares of land near Labrador City. The company was formerly known as Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Income Fund and changed its name to Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation in July 2010. Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation was founded in 1995 and is based in Toronto, Canada.

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation Reports Production and Sales Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months of 2015

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation reported production and sales results for the second quarter and six months of 2015. For the quarter, the company reported total iron ore production of 4,456,000 against 4,028,000 a year ago. For the six months, the company reported total iron ore production of 8,048,000 against 7,032,000 a year ago. For the quarter, the company reported total iron ore sales of 4,182,000 against 3,835,000 a year ago. For the six months, the company reported total iron ore sales of 7,384,000 against 6,344,000 a year ago. Second quarter of 2015 concentrate for sales (CFS) production improved by 55% from the previous quarter and was 10% better than the second quarter of 2014. This was mainly driven by better asset availability and utilization, together with favorable weight yield.  Second quarter of 2015 pellet production was 5% and 11% higher than the first quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2014 respectively driven by the restart of a 6th induration machine which was previously idled.

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation Declares Cash Dividend for the Second Quarter of 2015, Payable on July 25, 2015

The directors of Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation declared a regular quarterly cash dividend for the second quarter of 2015 of $0.25 per common share. All amounts are payable to holders of record at the close of business on June 30, 2015 and to be paid on July 25, 2015.

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation Approves Amendment to Articles of the Company

Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation announced that its Annual and Special Meeting held on May 28, 2015. Resolutions confirming the adoption of an advance notice by-law and authorizing LIORC to file articles of amendment to make certain housekeeping amendments to its Articles were approved.
