Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad engages in the oil palm plantation business in Malaysia. It operates through Plantation, Intrapreneur Ventures, Property Investment, and Other segments. The company is involved in the crude palm oil processing and plantation management activities; provision of sea transportation, as well as shipping and forwarding services; and rental of office buildings. It also provides parking management, bulk mailing and printing, management and consultancy, mechanical equipment assembling, oil palm nursery, in-house and external training, production house and event management, mill maintenance, property letting, insurance broking and consultancy, water treatment, and biotechnology research and development services. In addition, the company offers rubber and rubber products, and oil palm clones; distributes tropical fruits; cultivates sugar cane and pineapples, and other agriculture produce; markets personal care products; constructs oil and gas equipment; operates as a dealer in agricultural machinery and parts; undertakes facilities maintenance, and project and construction works; supplies and services computer equipment; supplies and maintains software; and provides training and other services related to occupational safety, health, environmental, and security systems. Further, it engages in the commercial cattle farming, and information and communication technology business; breeding and sale of cattle; logging, processing, and sale of sawn timber, timber doors, and laminated timber scantlings; trading of wood products, granular synthetic bone grafts, and agricultural and biochemical fertilizers; cultivation and trading of mushroom and related products; and provision of shipbuilding, steel structures fabrication, and engineering and consultancy services. The company was founded in 1933 and is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad is a subsidiary of Johor Corporation.
