Its property portfolio comprises office buildings, residential properties, townships, mixed-use developments, industrial buildings, hotels and resorts, serviced apartments, shop houses, and retail outlets primarily in Singapore, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. The company also provides property fund management and property related services. In addition, it is involved in hotel and resort management business; the operation and development of golf clubs; and the development of marina lifestyle cum residential properties. The company was formerly known as Straits Steamship Land Limited and changed its name to Keppel Land Limited in January 1997. The company was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Singapore. Keppel Land Limited operates as a subsidiary of Keppel Corporation Limited.

Keppel Land Limited to Invest in Freehold Office Building in London

Keppel Land Limited has entered into a sales and purchase agreement with Aberdeen Property Trust for a freehold nine-storey office building in the City of London at 75 King William Street for GBP 91 million (about SGD 186 million). The property is in close proximity to Bank Junction, London's historic and financial centre, where the Bank of England and other prominent financial institutions are also located. Completed in 1989, the building, with a total internal area of 130,000 sq ft, is almost 100% occupied by tenants in the financial services, shipping and serviced office industries. The investment will be managed by Keppel Land's fund management subsidiary, Alpha Investment Partners.

Pre-tax profit before fair value gain on investment properties was $309,521,000 against $301,620,000 a year ago. Pre-tax profit after fair value gain on investment properties was $529,735,000 against $632,681,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the company was $444,524,000 against $567,340,000 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share after fair value gain on investment properties were 28.7 cents against 36.7 cents a year ago. Net cash flows from operating activities were $236,517,000 against $27,447,000 a year ago. Purchase of fixed assets was $16,269,000 against $25,974,000 a year ago. Keppel Land Limited has proposed that a final one-tier tax exempt dividend of 14 cents per share be paid for the year ended 31 December 2014, compared with 13 cents paid in 2013. The proposed dividend is expected to be paid on or about 7 May 2015 upon shareholders' approval. 23 April 2015 will be registered to determine shareholders' entitlement to the proposed final dividend.
