Kongsberg Automotive ASA develops, manufactures, and sells products to the automotive industry worldwide. The company operates through four segments: Driveline, Interior, Driver Control, and Fluid Transfer. The Driveline segment supplies gear shifter systems for the passenger car market, such as automatic and manual gear shifters, shift cables, and shift towers. The Interior segment designs, develops, and manufactures seat comfort systems, and mechanical and electro-mechanical light-duty motion controls to tier 1 and original equipment manufacturers customers. Its products include seat adjuster cables and other cabling systems, lumbar support and side bolsters, seat heating, ventilation and massage systems, arm rests, head restraints, and seat support and climate systems. The Driver Control segment designs, develops, and manufactures operator control systems for commercial, industrial, agricultural, construction, and power sports vehicles. This segment offers clutch actuation systems, gearshift systems, vehicle dynamics, steering columns, pedal systems, electronic and displays, chassis stabilizers, and hand controls. The Fluid Transfer segment designs and manufactures fluid handling systems for the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors; coupling systems for compressed air circuits on heavy trucks; engineered flexible fluid assemblies; and tube and hose assemblies, as well as brake and fuel systems. Kongsberg Automotive ASA also supplies power electronic systems, such as inverters, rectifiers, and converters for electric and hybrid vehicles. The company was formerly known as Kongsberg Automotive Holding ASA and changed its name to Kongsberg Automotive ASA in August 2014. Kongsberg Automotive ASA was founded in 1957 and is headquartered in Kongsberg, Norway.

Kongsberg Automotive Secures Strategic Agreement with North American OEM

Kongsberg Automotive has secured a Strategic Supplier Agreement for seat comfort solutions to a North American vehicle manufacturer. The agreement is worth an estimated EUR 50 million over 6 years, but this figure could increase as production volumes are not finally agreed. Product supply includes a range of pneumatic seat comfort products from lumbar support systems up to complete massage and cushion length adjust systems. The agreement puts Kongsberg Automotive in the preferred supplier position for all the programs with this OEM where these types of seat comfort systems are introduced. Scheduled production under the agreement is expected to start from 2018, from Kongsberg Automotive's facilities in Reynosa, Mexico; Pruszkow, Poland and Wuxi, China.

Kongsberg Automotive Wins Seat Comfort Business for Two Premium Vehicles Worth EUR 56 Million

Kongsberg Automotive's Interior business area has been awarded two contracts for the supply of seat comfort systems to two European premium automakers, with a combined estimated total value of EUR 56 million. The first contract, worth an estimated EUR 27 million over its lifetime, comprises the supply of seat heat systems for a top premium sedan. The second contract, worth an estimated EUR 29 million over its lifetime, is for the supply of seat heat systems for a luxury SUV. The production for both programs will begin in 2017 in KA's facility in Pruszkow, Poland.

Kongsberg Automotive Wins New Contract with European Truck Manufacturer Worth EUR 6 Million

Kongsberg Automotive's Fluid Transfer business area has been awarded a contract worth an estimated total of EUR 6 million for the ABC air brake connector range with one of Europe's major truck manufacturers. Production under the contract will commence later this year from Kongsberg Automotive's Raufoss facility in Norway with sales value expected to be in the region of EUR 1.2 million per year over five years.
