It also holds 100% interest in the Kagera nickel project that covers an area of 864 square kilometers located along the western border of Tanzania. Kibaran Resources Limited was founded in 2005 and is based in Subiaco, Australia.

Ministry of Energy and Minerals of Tanzania Grants Mining License to Kibaran Resources Limited for Epanko Graphite Project

Kibaran Resources Limited announced that its mining licence for the Epanko Graphite Project has been granted by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals of Tanzania. The licence was signed by the Minister of Energy and Minerals, George Simbachawene (MP) on July 13, 2015 and was the remaining major milestone for the company in terms of Government permitting for the project. The mining licence allows extraction and processing of graphite, covers an area of 9.49 square kilometres and is for a period of 10 years, the maximum period under Tanzanian legislation but renewable for subsequent 10 year periods. The licence encapsulates all mineralized zones, including those areas where additional resources are expected to be defined and supports the company's previously reported planned production growth strategy from 40,000tpa to 100,000tpa.

Kibaran Resources Limited Announces Mineral Resource for the Epanko Graphite Project in Tanzania

Kibaran Resources Limited announced the Mineral Resource for the Epanko Graphite Project in Tanzania has been upgraded with a significant proportion of the previously reported Indicated Mineral Resource now classified as Measured. The Mineral Resource estimate totals 23.3 million tonnes (Mt) grading 9.4% total graphitic carbon (TGC) for 2,194,600 tonnes of contained graphite. The Epanko deposit is located within Neoproterozoic high grade mafic and felsic granulites, gneiss and migmatites, interlayered with amphibolites, marble quartzite, schist and mylonite. Epanko host rocks consist of gneiss, biotite-carbonate-graphite schist, marble and late quartz-feldspar-carbonate veining. The gneiss unit is the dominant unit within the prospect, consisting of amphibole, biotite and carbonate with trace graphite in places.
